Great Truck

This is my first truck, and I love it! It is very durable and tough, and at the same time, it is a smooth ride. We have the short (5ft) bed, and it has the perfect amount of space for our uses, such as camping and regular hauling.

2018 Colorado z71 4x4

By the time I had 11,000 miles on my truck, I was having transmission shuttering. GM replaced transmission fluids and it was ok for another 10,000 miles. Currently have 25,000 miles and problem has returned, Now the transmission is sluggish when changing gears and shuttering as if passing over a grooved center line....... Not a happy customer.

Best car and favorite car I’ve owned

I have owned everything from Porsche’s corvettes mustang suburban this by far is my favorite vehicle. Drives like a car and faster than my 86 iroc Camaro. At 6’-2” not to many mid size truck fit me well. My Colorado fit my body well

Transmission Issues

I wrote a review after one year and had no issues. Just shy of two years and the transmission has developed a shutter and hard shift between first and second gear. I took it in to the dealer by my house and didn't appreciate the attitude so I cancelled the appointment and took it to the dealer where I purchased the vehicle. I scheduled the appointment online and referenced TSB 18-NA-355. When I arrived, I was told they couldn't do the TSB because I was in there system for an oil change. The reason I was given was that the online scheduling tool doesn't synch well with the dealer. In addition, I was told that I would have to pay out of pocket, approximately $600.00 to flush and refill per TSB. I'm taking it back to the dealer tomorrow and we'll see what happens. I would think it would be cheaper and provide better customer service to do this under warranty instead of waiting for a transmission failure and replacement. When I'm done, I'll see if I can be reimbursed. If that's not an option, I guess I'll join the class action suit. All that said, other than the transmission, I really like the truck. It tows great and feels really solid.

Worst chevy truck I’ve owned

This 2018 Chevy Colorado has had issues with the transmission since I bought it. I bought it used with 23,000 miles on it and now I have approximately 37,000 miles on it. It has been back to the dealer for transmission issues four times. I don’t know whether it’s the dealership or Chevrolet that is just dragging their feet on actually fixing it. The transmission first starting to act up when I was driving slow speed and then went to give it just a little bit of gas the truck would buck, and I would hear metallic clanging. I took it to the dealer I purchased it from under warranty, the first time they train change transmission fluid three times and said drive it. The second time I Took it back they said the transmission lost its programming. The third time I took it back they replaced the valve body. The fourth time I took it back they changed out the torque converter. I have driven it approximately 100 miles since I received it back and it is still doing the same thing. The Chevrolet dealership continues to stall and not return phone calls, and I believe they are just trying to avoid the situation as much as possible. If this one is any indication of how the Chevy Colorado pickups are produced, I have no faith in it and I urge anyone do not purchase a Chevy pick up.

it's ok. about what you expect

The vehicle is ok. There is almost no leg room. I hit my knee in the headlight switch about have the time I get in. This defeats the auto headlight feature. It can be difficult to find a comfortable seat angle. Power is adequate but more would be better. There is an error in the dash display software - the only way to get the best mpg over 33.4 is to get the average mpg over 33.4. then it forgets when you restart the truck.
