2012 Chevrolet Equinox consumer reviews

I hate this vehicle I was taken advantage of from the dealership (Serpentini chevrolet) , they know these vehicles are crap, oil consumption issues, engine issues. Hate this

I’ve got it in the shop again. GM you need to do recalls on this car. Gas pedal replaced and it’s sensor. Camshaft sensor is now out. It’s getting a new timing gear or chain lord I dont Know. Valve cover gasket , I’ve no clue what else. It’s bern in the shop going on a week. Thousands of dollars to fix it. Thank God for fidelity warranty!!!

This is a nice running vehicle. The 4 cycled isn't powerful enough for the size of this car. You have to run it between 4 or 5 rpm on highway to get to a least 50 miles per hour. Two issues 1)I had to replace the radio system very expensive price.2) the crank sense and belt had to be replace. Already replace the tires at 36,423 miles. Yes this is the mileage On my veh for a 2012 Chevy equinox ltz.

this car has been unreliable and unsafe bought as a family vehicle but ut meeps having the same problem and i have to keep bringing it in to the shop.

There was no sensor for the PC valve, lost all oil out the back seal and froze up the engine. This seems to be a common problem with Chevy PC valves sticking shut and not allowing the oil to escape out the chambers.

this vehicle took time to get use to since all i ever had was cars but i do like it it has decent room good leg room love the child safety locks itbut other than that i like it alots great for that alone everything works only thing i would like is a little more space in the back

My siblings and I decided we wanted to purchase a vehicle for our mother for xmas. We found this vehicle on line and it was perfect for her. Hoping that she loves it as well!

Fundamentally sound vehicle, but watch the engine. My timing chain snapped at 78K. There are known issues with the 4 cyl. engine in these. Now close to 200K and very little issues.

Very satisfied with this 2012 Equinox, has the room I was looking for both the driver, passenger and cargo room. Also very econobabble on fuel. Its no wonder their is so many of them on the road!

Plenty of room for my 3 back seat passengers. Like the back seat leg room extender lever. Remote start is great, heated seats are a must where I live.
