this car has a incredible driving and comforting car and i like how its drives and the air ist pretty good

These chevrolet impala are good running cars, BUT should be recalled for the jerking of the transmission everytime I look something up on the internet and keep said something about transmission solenoid why GM has not recalled this yet it is a major problem out of all the Impalas I have had it has had the same problem..#poor defects#

I was concerned because this car was selling about $1800 less than similar vehicles on the market but after the purchase I got a really great deal. Car drives good an has no issues of concern. I'm very happy with it.

I've had my impala for 4 years. Its creeping up on 250,xxx miles and still runs strong. If you take care of your car it will take care of you.

I owned a 2005 Impala LS for 4 years. I bought low-mileage and lightly used from a dealership. When I went to buy it I thought "The Chevy name and Impala model have been around forever -- I couldn't go too wrong buying one." But how wrong I was. The first two years were great. Most comfortable seats of any car I've owned, Smooth ride, powerful v6, great looks. Then two years into ownership, the problems started. The security system would randomly engage. (Google this and you'll find it's a common problem that GM wouldn't fix.) Then the car wouldn't start and I'd be stranded. I never knew when this was going to happen so I was always uneasy driving the car. When the security light came on, you'd have to let the car sit for 30 minutes before it would start again. Then the electrical system developed problems and windows motors would randomly short out. Then the cruise control stopped working. Then the radio shorted out. Then the radiator seal failed causing the car to overheat while driving down the freeway. Stranded again. An OEM replacement also failed -- again leaving me stranded. At that point I was done and sold the car. No more General Motors for me. I now go with Toyota and Honda for maximum dependability.

I purchased my2005 Chevy Impala ss in 07.it was traded in with 6900 miles on it.I have now owned it for 9 1/2 years and it currently has74000 miles.I moved from Mass. to S.C.in2011.this car has been amazing.keeping the maintenance going regularly has kept it almost problem free.no major mechanical breakdown has ever occurred.I intend to keep this car for another7 or 8 years.

Drives smooth but dont like the body style. Prefer the newer body style instead but overall its an amazing car itself if maintenance is kept up well.

-It is almost as comfortable as a Buick -It has great torque on the highway and accelerates quite reasonably for its size. -GM really hit a home run with the styling. I love the lighting and the wood strip on the inside. The exterior styling is sporty yet dignified. -I got this car for a GREAT price used! -I have never had any major problems that undermined my safety. -Overall, a great car for somebody who likes a lot of car with a strong American V6 for a great price!

I use to trade every year untill I got the Impala its power,economy ride and reliability gave me no desire to trade but due to age I eish to get a truck for easier ingress

My 05 was a great car I bought it as a program car in 06 with 17,000 miles on it. It averaged about 30 miles per gallon of Gas on the highway... now it is 2014 I just was in an serious accident and came out of it with just some soreness thanks to the safety rating of this car... the car was totaled on the outside but not hardly damaged at all on the inside...I was protected!
