I must be from a different planet . . .
. . . one where automotive expectations are a lot higher. I rented this car for a one-week, thousand miles trip and hated every moment of it. Rental had 22,000 miles so can we blame the terrible ride, sloppy steering and overabundance of road noise on this vehicle's "old age"? My 18-year old somehow talked me into letting her drive it. From the get-go, she thought, "Wow! Very cool!" but when she returned she was no longer impressed.

One word... SS
The 2007 SS model is bought for pretty much one reason, FUN! Even though every critic likes to say that there is no room for the big 2 door coupes in todays mobile society, People like me and a few other would beg to differ. If you go to a Chevy dealer specifically for a Monte Carlo SS, you know what it is that you expect from this car...and it doesn't disappoint! A very responsive and throaty growl from the 325 cubic inch, aluminum small block makes any other complaint minor, if at all existent. Throw in other features such as four wheel disc ABS brakes, a fine tuned sport suspension (SS only), a heavy duty 4 speed transmission, and most enthusiasts won't even care about the lumbar supported seating, power everything, and a pretty cool push button driver interface to show you when the engine goes into the fuel saving 4 cylinder mode....icing on the cake! I own a 2007 Monte Carlo SS. It's black with the silver rally stripe option making it a very cool grab for this discontinued hot rod (Production ended June of 2007). Quite frankly I'm fine with 07' being the last year of production. Chevrolet sent this car out with a lot of bang for under $30k, and could possibly end up a highly sought after collector in years to come.

What a car! :)
This is the first Monte Carlo I've ever owned. I fell in love with it during the test drive. It's a great handling vehicle, although the price was just a tad steep. I still enjoy driving it though.

I love car
I bought a 2007 Monte Carlo LT in March 2007. This is the 2nd one I've owned. Although the backseats are not very roomy, the driver seat is very comfortable. This car drives like a dream. I bought a red one and had it decked out with the DEI stripes down the side and a few more decals. It is the only one like it Knoxville and it DOES turn heads. It has good pwer for my needs and gets decent gas mileage. Overall it's an awesome car to own.
