3 and a half years later, still love it.

Purchased new in May of 2014. It's now January of 2018. I have just over 17k miles on it. It is the Work Truck II model. I have added steps, bed liner, and just got a Weather Tech floor liner for Christmas. This truck has everything I need and I absolutely love it. I've been a Chevy guy since I started driving in the 70's, so I can't really compare it to other brands. Other than a few simple recalls, I have had no issues at all. The built in Pandora radio is one of my favorite features. Great sound. I honestly plan for this truck to be the last vehicle I ever own.

Regular cab isn't what they used to be

Overall this is a pretty good truck, I get great gas mileage, and it does anything I ask of it; however, I do have some complaints. I have a regular cab 6.5' bed and often find myself looking for more interior storage space. Obviously it's not an extra cab, but my old truck was able to fit my toolbox, a power drill case, emergency gear and still have room for me to stuff more back behind the seat. This truck has next to no room for any of the, I cant even fit my Makita drill case behind these seats, and the ability to access behind the seats is lacking as well. Another Issue I've noticed is that the tailgate seems to like to trap gravel or any material in it so it doesn't close, I don't know why but on older trucks this wasn't a problem as it would simply fall out as you put up the tailgate. It annoys me that they have a new tailgate design that can't do the same things the old tailgate did. I will also say the latch mechanism is flawed to the point where it can get stuck and not latch close right or open and my tailgate has even come off the hinges if you throw it closed. These issues have driven me up a wall at times, but I find the amazing comfort of the truck and how carelessly it takes 2,000 lbs in the back to be pretty redeeming. It is also a fun truck, with the 5.3 having enough power to make me smile when I go wide open throttle and pull to highway speed even with a load on. The truck does me well and I wish it had just a few things engineered differently and or better, but overall it does the job.

happy owner

When I was on the market for my replacement horse hauler, I was adament that I did not want a pick up truck. Well, my salesman knew what I wanted and what I wouldn't settle on and talked me into test driving this fully loaded Z71 Silverado. Best decision I have made thus far was to purchase this truck! The comfort, features and looks are impeccable. I always get positive remarks about my truck.

Greatest truck in the world

With a comfortable interior and a tough exterior, the redesigned Chevrolet Silverado is still the best example of what a truck is. The 5.3l V8 engine is really powerful but yet fantastic on fuel economy. Highway ride is so comfortable, I felt like on Cloud 9. Even with a fully loaded bed of stuff, the engine act like it was hauling air, the engine is just that great. Interior design is awesome. Love the design of the gauge cluster. Center infortaainment screen is so easy to use. My favorite feature is definitely the backup camera. Screw you, Ford, GM makes the best and reliable engines ever in trucks. Highly recommend. Message to Ford, RAM, and Toyota truck owners: Trade in your unreliable truck in for a Chevrolet Silverado NOW. You?re doing America a favor.
