Big mistake

Bought the Silverado brand new everything was fine until I got to 35,000 miles then things went south! Engine light came on periodically and dealership would shut off engine light and say they couldn’t find anything wrong. This went on for every 3 or 4000 miles. Now the truck has been at the dealership for a week waiting for parts.(defective parts) I think I’ve made a big mistake buying a Silverado.

Lover EVERYTHING about this truck

I have the LTZ, it's loaded. There isn't nothing about this truck I don't love. I traded it on a 2017 model for the upgrade.

Could be better for same money

Nice truck, well built and a lot of little tech stuff that some will like but not others. My complaint is that you have to hold the button to use the seat memory function. That is Stone Age. Should be able to just touch it. I don’t like the 8 speed transmission, feels like it is slipping or I have a cylinder missing. Not sure if I would tell others to buy it. Be sure you shop first.

I've had this truck in the shop 17 times in 2 yrs.

17 visits to the dealer for various things. Main computer went out, tail light failure, phantom check engine light, emissions failures, transmission failures, radio failure, etc. This truck is nothing but a failure waiting to happen. I have less than 50,000 miles on it.

Dream Truck

Greatest vehicle I have ever owned! Great for commuting with the new technology of transmission switching down to 4 cylinder. Good on gas. Easy maintenance.

Transmission went out at 70,000 miles.

I loved the truck untill the trans went out at 70000 miles. Now I'm not sure I will ever own a GM vehicle again. The dealership told me they have had alot of issues with the transmission from 2017. I told them I didnt know I bought a dodge.
