Works for me
I needed a 3rd row seating and an all wheel drive vehicle. Vans didn't have AWD that were affordable. The used Traverse was perfect. The only negative factor is the lousy gas milage. Otherwise the car is a perfect fit.

One of the most reliable SUV I've ever owned.
This is the 3rd traverse I've owned and by far the most reliable of all three cars. Sleek and beautiful

Next chapter after the minivan period
Outstanding in every way; appearance, reliability, seats EIGHT adults comfortably. Fairly priced. It currently has 104k miles and absolutely runs like when new! I am confident that my Traverse will easily break the 200k mark with aplomb!

Great SUV
I've had my Traverse for almost 3 years and I've had no troubles with it that weren't fixed by my local dealership, under warranty, within a week. It's a great drive, it doesn't look like a mom-mobile and it's very dependable. It has a ton of room, the seats fold down easily and I've never had any trouble in bad weather. My only complaint is for those of us who don't get the leather package. Why aren't all the seats adjustable automatically instead of manually, the lever is in a terrible place on the passenger side. Love the back up camera, since I didn't need the GPS or DVD system. I've recommended this car to several people, including my mom, who drives a Z71 Tahoe.

fwd horrible in winter
I bought this vehicle b/c of the eight passenger and safety of the vehicle. The fwd traverse is horrible in the snow, no weight on the front of the car. I have been stuck more in my traverse than any other vehicle in my 15 years of driving. Also there is no way to put 3 car seats next to each other in the second or third row. The comfort of the car is great as is the gas mileage. If I didn't live in a state with snow it would be a great vehicle. I'm also have to take the car in for either a bad swaybar (sp ) or tierod and there us only 20,000 miles on it.

2009 Chevy Traverse LT
Bought my Traverse in 2009 and I love it. I bought it for long trips with my grandchildren ETC. I also own a B&B so every once in a while I need to go to town for more food for my guests. So the back hach is very handy. I haven't had any problems with it. I would recommend this car to anyone.

Exceptional vehicle
We have had our Traverse for over a year, and it is a beautiful vehicle. The interior is comfortable and roomy, however it is hard to get someone who is over 6 feet tall in the very back and seat them comfortably. It has lots of room for transporting boxes of groceries. It came with neat gadgets such as Onstar, satellite radio, and in-car phone but all of these were quite expensive and I don't see us re-buying them.

Tire Problems
I have had nothing but trouble with the tires on my Traverse. This is the only thing bad about this vehicle. I have 20,000 miles, been to Colorado and back twice (22 mpg on the highway with cruise) and have had five tire repairs. These tires seem to pick up every little thing on the road. I live in the city, don't drive near any construction, yet continue have problems. Any body else having problems?

Beware!
I am truly disappointed with the Traverse. We have had to take the car in 4 times in the first 6 months of use. We have the LTZ trim FWD, and the side-doors trims continue to fall off for no reason. Now the automatic hatchback motor died too. (Who in their right mind designs a device that will likely fail every few months? The car has 10,000 miles and it is evident to me that all those neat gadgets are not going to make it far. That means after the warranty os over, GM will have me as their favorite customer in their service shops charging me $80 per hour of labor plus new gadgets at top prices. It is a rip off! If you want the car, stay away from the higher trims. Less is better. There is a reason why they'll warrant the power-train for 100k and sell you a car with poor quality comforts. Before the warranty goes out, the Traverse will be out of my garage.
