Nice for the $

Had quite a few service issues around 100k miles. Have the LTZ model and the DVD player is nice for the kids along with the rear bucket seats.

Size is perfect for family carting kids.

Size met our needs at the time. 7 person seating. Bucket seats in back so kids don't touch! Comfortable. The LT doesn't have the bells and whistles but overall nice car.

If you own a Traverse - Sell it Immediately!!!

Chevrolet should be ashamed, knowing this vehicle has engine issues and not fixing the issues for consumers. There is a known engine problem and Chevrolet takes no accountability. Read the Traverse engine issues before purchasing and if you own a Traverse sell it immediately before your family gets hit with the financial hardship as my family has experienced recently. Trivia: Which vehicle is still on the road running like a champ? 2007 Toyota Rav 4 - 300,000 Miles 2012 Chevrolet Traverse - 126,000 Miles Yep you guessed it 2007 Toyota Rav 4. I gave Chevrolet another try after my 1st experience with their 2001 Malibu and the multiple issues it had. No more chances, Toyota has proven their quality and never once left me on the side of the road stranded, unlike this Chevrolet Traverse. I hope I can save you and your family the financial hardship this vehicle has caused my family, it is never fun to make payment on a vehicle that sits. Had the dealer told me this is a throw away car after 120,000 mile it is worthless, I would have made a wiser purchase. The vehicle had approx 30,000 when I purchased it and the majority of the miles are highway from my daily work commute which is NOT a stop and go commute.

engine issues

bought the car through carmax with 50k miles on it and i loved the space and comfort and handling. no issues as it was serviced regularly then it hit 86k miles and i had a blown engine. the car shut down while doing 80mph down the highway with my husband father in law myself and 2 young children in the car. we were headed to see family. i have never been so terrified in a vehicle. we got back and found out this is a common issue in the traverse after 72k miles and chevy knows and refuses to do anything about it. when called they said because it was a month out of warranty they would do nothing. the rod bent, rings came off, and broke the piston. this would be anywhere between $5k and $12k to fix had we gone to the dealership to have it fixed. I will never own another Chevy.

Best Family Car We've Owned

The size and functionality of this vehicle are amazing. We were looking for a car with quad seating and access to a third row when needed. With 2 carseats in the picture now, this Traverse couldn't be any more practical. We are in love with this car!

My First SUV

The Traverse has plenty of room of room for passengers and cargo. It sits up high and rides very smooth. Performance is tepid. It feels heavy when accelerating from a stand still. It shifts to 6th gear early and you must step on it to force it to down shift to get any sort of acceleration. Overall, it's a nice vehicle but it needs much better performance.
