2011 Dodge Challenger Rallye

I purchased this car for several reasons. The retro style in my opinion was done better than Ford's Mustang or Chevy's Camaro. This car is very comfortable. Plenty of head and leg room. Even at 5'11', I have room to spare, and still passenger behind me has leg room. The interior is a little bland, but, everything you need to control is at your fingertips. the Audio voice command understands everything I say without having to repeat myself. That in itself is awesome. I opted for the Pentastar V6 over the V8 or hemi. Doing my research on this engine without getting technical, it seems Dodge got this one right. The inovations and technology put into this engine is inspiring. It looks to be a dream to work on. even for something as simple as an oil chenge, no fuss, and no mess. Oil filter on top of the enginge with a twist off top, and drop the new oil filter cartridge in. Dual overhead cams, Variable Valve timing, and a whole lot of great things make for better gas mileage. I am currently getting 31mpg highway at 60 mph and 27 around town. Not bad for a 305hp V6. This car is a little heavy, aproaching the 4,000 lb mark, but then again this is a big car. One thing that I noticed that some people would not. I have the high end stereo system, and I like my music loud. Every other car I have owned over the last 20 years were not built for acoustics. I can crank this system wide open, and not one piece of plastic rattles! Upon further inspection, I found every door and even the engine compartment is very well insulated. The engine purrs like a kitten when started, but give it a little gas , and listen to her growl. Stomp on it, and this baby ROARS. you can feel the tork as the pentastar winds up. It handles very well on turns, and responds nicely, but this car definitely likes the straight path. I think Dodge got this one right, and after a few months putting the Challenger through it's paces, I will update the review.
