2019 Dodge Journey - all you need
I couldn’t be happier with what I drove home in. Great look; comfort, drive and options. I’m so happy I chose to buy the Journey

Looks nice and it is comfortable but lazy
I rented the car and drove about 4000 miles both in city and freeway, from FL to OR. It is comfortable - I only tested the front seats - but was not impressed by the cargo space. The car does not offer good visibility in the blind spot but I don't know an SUV that does. What I really dislike is the grossly underpowered engine and the fuel consumption. To make the car climb a hill on I-70 I had at some point to rev the it up for 4000rpm and disengage cruise control because I was afraid it would redline the engine trying to keep 70 mph. Fuel economy? I can get on flat roads 29-30mpg from my Dodge Grand Caravan (V6) but driving on I - 75 in FL with no traffic, no braking and no hills I could only be 24mpg from this car. In Oregon I finally asks the nice people at Budget to change the car because I could not take it anymore. My advice : avoid.

Awesome Journey!
This vehicle is perfect for the growing family and the price! The 2019 has the third row seats and plenty of head and leg room for adults.

Gutless
Decent room inside but my lawn mower has more guts. It’s Grossly underpowered. Decent road car once it gets going but you better be highway driving. Stereo is basic. Third row is about the only big hit.

Nothing like I thought
This was a rental which I drove. Exterior color was good but the leather seats were uncomfortable. Not very roomy especially no room for a carseat. Being handicapped, I had a hard time getting in and out as there was a high lip on door frame. Gas guzzler; reminded me of the Durango. I wouldn't waste my money on this SUV nor recommend to my friends.

Outdated and overpriced, even at $10k off
You know when it’s 2018 and you can get a new 2019 Journey for $10k off at the local dealership, something is wrong. I thought it was a thpical stealership ploy but lo and behold, this was no scam. Unfortunately, this thing is plain awful and pretty much made for rental fleets. Quite possibly a huge depreciation bomb. Unless you are from Ohio where any car not covered in rust and severe body damage is considered high end, I would consider getting anything else. In this price range a used Highlander would be the smart choice. Cheap plastics, horrible handling and outdated design is the start of the trashtalk. Absolutely no modern saftey features and pretty much all the low rent midwestern flair you can muster. This will be the darling of buy here pay here lots as soon as it depreciates into the low teens which is any day now since you can get a new one in the high teens today.
