Explore the 2005 Dodge Neon

Transmission breaks down after the 9th year.

Interior is not confortable to seat 5. I've looked into other 2005 Dodge Neons in my area, they have the same problem with the vehicle.

Good Starter Car

Good car. Every thing runs smooth. It shakes a little when idle but overall no issues. Gas mileage is okay but nothing too much.Great For Teens

Solid/reliable economy car

My neon has been reliable for the past 10 years that i've had it. Very few problems, and has gotten me from A to B consistently. Would highly recommend it as a nice value car.

Very Good gas millage car.

This car has went above my expectations for mpg. The main reason I bought this car I was looking for something that would save me at the pump. I drive over 60 miles a day. The interior was in fairly good shape. The outside looked very sharp for an 05. I am satisfied with what I paid for it.

It's a good starter car but...

This car was a great starter car but had a lot of issues that would be tough for an inexperienced car owner to identify. The biggest issue is rust. I had so many problems because the bottom rusted out which I have heard is the case with many neons. My transmission line rusted so all my transmission fluid came out, my back break rusted and stuck so it couldn't be released and obviously that caused issues. I got it already used so perhaps if you can find one in good shape it would be a good car to start with but I also had problems with the power steering going out and finally with the radiator going on it and basically overheating the engine making it pretty expensive to keep running. Overall, it isn't the best bang for your buck unless you enjoy having car troubles at least three times a year.

Good car

This car has the kind of space I need. I love that the back seats fold down to provide more space. It has a CD player which is great.

GREAT FOR LOCAL COMMUTES

The 2005 Dodge Neon is an SXT not SRT, I have corrected the listing but some reason it keeps on going back to the original. For a 12 yrs old car, exterior is very good; interior comfortable - enough leg room for a 6'4" person; interior average with usual wear and tear; Great for local commutes
