THE BEST OF THE BEST
I have owned Gm's and Fords and this Dodge is by far the Best of the bunch. The ride and handling are second to none. the hemi gives me better mileage and performance. solid truck and more room in the quad configuration then the ford or GM. GREAT MILEAGE compared to the 6.0 GM and the 5.7 ford. Only had one small problem and warranty took care of it otherwise 0 problems in 2 years of ownership.

fun,fun,fun
I bought an 05 ram 1500 4x4 with the hemi engine and 59k miles. This truck seems like it is brand new. It runs absolutely incredible and I am really surpised at the gas mileage I get...when I stay out of the gas of course. Its got so much power that I hardly even have to touch the pedal. But anyway I got 19 on the highway and I get 14 in the city. Not bad for a hemi. oh, did I mention how fun it is. NO MORE BEING UNDER POWERED. p.s. I chose the 4 stars above instead of the 5 on style because I wanted an 06 with the newer style. but the 05 style was okay too since the truck was like new. I found the truck on cars.com, 110 miles from where I live. So I drove 2 hours to get it. So glad I did.

nice truck.
the dodge ram 1500 slt with the 5.4L HEMI IS A TRUCK for truck people. i own the 05 1500 quad cab 4X4 and to be honest i love it, great power and great styling. more room than i thought in the cabin of this truck. i am a 6ft 275 lb guy and even in the back seats i fit better than i thought. this truck has some nice features but the stereo is lill weak. play a song with too much base and sounds like the artist is gargaling mouth wash when they talk. but that is fixable. if i could give you only one peice of advice is to get the 06 model or newer only because the interior is done way better as far as styling, so go with that unless you find a great deal on an 05 like i did. my truck has 75thousand and still going strong, small ticking noise but what is a warrenty for haha.

Never Own Another DODGE product
Got truck new, have had nothing but problems out of it. Last Dodge product I will ever own. HEMI has alot of power, but it is unreliable. Had to have lifters, rockerarms and pushrods replaced at 50000 miles dealer said he heard a wrist pin knocking once, said he didn't hear it again and did not fix. Still sounds like lifters are collapsing. I think it must be an oil flow issue. Brake rotors warp regularly. EGR valve, power steering pump, windshield wiper switch, front drive shaft, rotors have all been replaced. Has bad vibration dealer can't (or won't) fix. I could go on and on, the truck has issues. All in all the dealership has had for at least 4 months since I've owned it. Too many miles for the lemon law I've already tried. DON"T BUY A DODGE. what good is a lifemtime warranty when they won't even honor their 7 year

2005 Power Wagon
I bought it used with 30K miles, in 2007. It rides like a truck, acts like a truck, since I wanted a truck I got what I wanted. QCSB is big inside and out, very nice interior. Since it's a Power Wagon, I have also taken it offroad, and played in the fields, and mud. It is an animal off-roading. It's weight is it's one shortcoming off-road.

I love my truck!!!
It is gorgeous inside and out and runs great and looks so hot with my horse trailer behind it! It isn't fully loaded, so there are somethings I plan on doing to it, I'm looking into changing the door handles to chrome, putting running boards on it, tinting the windows and lifting it and put flows on it, and when all of that is done it will be amazing. I cannot wait, i love my truck. Its a work in progress, but it will get there.

Awesome! High speed handling issues though...
The 5.7 Hemi is off the hook when it comes to power and response. The body style is second to none and the overall performance is absolutely wonderful. The only issue I have is that the cornering does not perform to the vehicles potential high speed capabilities. High speed cornering is scary and dangerous. However, low profile tires and a good handling package should resolve this issue. It's also rated at over 8000lbs for towing which is great for a half ton truck. Overall, looks great and lots of fun to drive! I love mine and I recommend this vehicle 110%!

A Great Truck
I purchased my Ram in 06. I love almost everything about it. The worst part is the gas milage. It can be a little thirsty if you have a lead foot. I like that chrysler is starting to get creative with different storage options such as the underseat storage, both back seats and the middle front seat. The fold-flat floor in the back has been very handy as a seat/bed for my dog, it is also nice to haul things that you don't want to put in the bed. The dash styling however is a little bland but of typical chrysler standards. Lots of plastic and a easy to use no frills radio. The truck fits four adults very comfortably. We have put six in the cab and its not too bad either. I have had an issue with the power steering leaking but it has been fixed by the dealer under warranty. Overall it is a very nice truck.

Excellent truck for anyone.
I have owned 4 dodge trucks from 1997 to 2005, and my HEMI 2005 2500 is perfect. Great balance of economy with excellent power, and looks to die for. I currently have over 100,000 miles and it still runs new, thanks to the preventative maintenance. All interior features are well designed and well placed for easy access for both driver and passenger. The ride can be bumpy at times but if you want the smoothest ride, then step out of the 4x4 and buy a Cadillac.

What a work horse!!!
I got my Ram 2500/5.9L,CD new in 2005 and I now have close to 55K miles clocked on it. We have driven this bad boy from Texas to Colorado, Arkansas, Florida, New Mexico in all sorts of conditions and weather towing a 29" Airstream trailer at times. Never had a problem and never felt under powered going thru the Ozark's. Gas milage has even improved as the miles have gone up. We average 19.5 MPG in the city and about 22 on the Highway. Vehicle is totally stock at the moment but I understand I can improve power and milage with certain upgrades through chips..........imagine that. I not only recommend this truck to anyone in the market for a serious machine but would purchase another myself if I ever outlived this one!!!
