Dodge Ram 1500 SLT

Awsome truck for the buck. Takes the mountain roads without so much as a groan. Mileage is so/so, but that's with any truck for the most part. My Ram does the same job as my Silverado 2500, and looks much nicer!

First New Truck

Recently had problems with older import pickup, decided to take advantage of incentives. I own a Black SLT Sport 4x4 Quad Cab Hemi. Paint dirties very easily but looks stunning when washed and waxed. Dealer was overly pushy. Laramie not worth the extras. Tires spin very very very easily with no load, avoid Michelin ATX, get BF Goodrich replacements. No spinning and better wet traction. Interior very solid, driver's seat a bit hard. Fold-flat rear seat very usable. 5.7L is thirsty, although if you go below 70 on the highway not bad for 360cu inch V8, about 21mpg. Power is excellent, no complaints. If towing avoid 20" wheels, otherwise they look awesome; get many compiments! 4.7L Hemi might have been more economical choice. Sometimes sounds loud when first turns over but quiets after 30 seconds even in warm weather. A little pricey with fuel at 2.75, but worth it in the snow and cold.

1st newp/u in years

did not even test drive. likely paid more than i should have. mine is an slt - white - shows dirt too easy. nice that it does not have 4x4 stickers all over. driver's seat is firm - could use better adjustments. ride can be a bit rough - will hop/skip on some roads. steering is too light. does not handle well when windy or during heavy rain. i wanted a vehicle in which i could feel safe/secure. this vehicle does not do that for me. otherwise i could really like this truck. great fuel mileage. poor customer service/chrysler canada.

This Truck is Awsome!!

This truck has the power to get around traffic when i need it. I pulled a 5000lb trailer from detroit to cedar point and i barely noticed it back there it pulled so good. with no load in the back on wet pavement it spins the tires kinda easy but put it 4wheel drive and i handles just like when the ground is dry......no complaints at all

Mega Cab.....Mega Room

You want luxury, room and a great work truck? Get the Mega Cab Laramie edition. The storage compartment behind the back seat is great for storing an ice scraper or a tow chain. The only thing that I can really complain about is the gas mileage. I get less than 14 mpg in a very hilly landscape. Also, the price is a little steep. But you get what you pay for.

Awsome Truck

I bought this truck through an argument with my grandson. My granson has always been a Dodge fanatic, me myself a Chevy man! But I finally gave in and bought a 1500 LARAMIE 4x4. This truck is the king of the hill. The ride, quality, power, capability, and style is so much better than Chevy and Ford. The only thing about this truck is the price. A chevy LT $33,990 , a Ford F-150 Lariat $36,870, and my truck $45,900! COMPARE that! but it is well worth the money and I recommend the truck to anyone who needs a full size truck. And to those Ford and Chevy fans out there, those trucks have nothing on the Dodge Ram truck. Interior is also a very high quality look and make.
