LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the truck!

I purchased my Light Greystone Pearlstone (awesome color by the way) 2010 Ram 1500 SLT Crew Cab 4x4 with the Big Horn Package in late October 2010. I am VERY happy so far. The ride is awesome- smooth, but yet powerful with 390 horses with the 5.7 L. The syling is the best on the market with the edgy yet refined parts that make an awesome whole. I love the bucket seats and would recommend that option to all that don't need the bench seat up front. I get complimented on the truck all the time. The only concern I have that diminishes my experience is when the engine reduces from 8 to 4 cylinders. The ECO mode is a bit rough at times, like it is downshifting, and feels jerky sometimes. However, I am happy to save the $ on gas. I anticipate I will easily get 20 mpg on the highway once it is broke in (only 2,000 miles so far).

Best Truck by Far

Ive owned Ford, Chevy, GMC, and now my first Dodge. By far this is the best truck I've owned. It has made driving enjoyable again.

swell multipurpose vechicle

This truck tows nicely and has plenty of power on the hills (5.7 liter hemi). Crew cab has enough room for all of my lol friends and rides like a large passenger car. Climbing in is made easier by optional running board and the hand-holds at each door. Visibility is excellent due to the height of the vehicle. Would prefer a printed copy of the owners' manual instead of the CD Rom supplied. Still trying to figure out how to reset the clock to standard time. Otherwise, good driving, great fun.

Best I have ever owned

The only draw back to this truck is the plastic flip down floor panels that provide a flat cargo surface when the rear seats are raised. they are not flimsy but long term I think a better material would be better. The independent coils suspension provides a nice ride on the road and has proved itself capable off road too. The 5.7 Hemi has plenty of power and is not that bad on gas. Styling is far better than the other large truck products available, build quality is very good. I am very happy with my truck and plan to keep it a very long time

Best riding truck I have been in

I test drove a Ford and Chevrolet before trying the Dodge. The Dodge had by far the best ride and stylish inside. The performance has been excellent for my needs

Simply Awesome

Bought a new 2010 4X4 RAM w/ 5.7 Hemi after owning only Chevy trucks for 20+ years. I must say, this truck rocks and looks great! Only ding I have against it is that at about 3K miles, a dash light came on that says SVC4WD and the 4WD selector only blinks and does not engage 4WD. Took it back to the dealer for 1st oil change at 5K miles and they ordered a computer sensor part. Still waiting for a call that part has come in and to schedule a 2 hr. appt. to have it installed. I now have about 6K miles on the truck. No doubt, I would buy it again! I love the driver info that tells me my avg and instantaneous MPG. I am avg'ing about 15MPG in mixed city/hwy with the 3:55 axle ratio towing option. The 400 lb. ft. of torque are amazing...inadvertently broke the rear-end loose a couple times ~ 30MPH while accelerating onto freeway on-ramp to quickly get to ~70MPH... Amazing & fun power!!!

Great Truck

My truck is a Laramie Crew-Cab with all the fancy stuff. It's a luxury vehicle with the capabilites of a truck. I typically buy Ford but this truck was tops for engine performance, comfort, and interior design. The information system is very slick and there just isn't a prettier truck out there. I have a family of 6 and we are very comfortable in it, and we are looking forward to many long road trips with it and the camper. I'm getting much better MPG than I expected about 16 around town. Two things that disapoint me are the cup holders are small and pooly placed, and the mechanisims to hold the doors in place give too easy. On day 2 of ownership I chipped paint on the door edge.

The BEST Truck, Period!

The New Ram 1500 is amazing! The Ram has the best ride of any truck on the market with it's new suspension, hydroformed frame, and new body mounts. Less NVH than any of the others. This is especially noticable when the truck is empty or only lightly loaded on rougher roads. The performance is top-notch too! With the 390hp / 407tq Hemi, the truck can outrun any of it's competitors, even with their larger engines. And the Hemi offers 20+mpg on the highway, something the other guys' can only dream about with their top-of-the-line engines. Even the smaller 4.7 V8 produces excellent power (310hp / 330tq), in fact it is comparable to Ford's 5.4L, and it costs much less. It also has FlexFuel capability. The suspension aide in performance as well. With the rear axle firmly located, no power is lost to axle wrap or movement, meaning the full potential of the powertrain can be felt and utilized. The 5-spd Auto is well tuned, maximizing performance and economy based on throttle position and g-force sensors. The ERS system makes the transmission a manu-matic, and allows more complete control of the powertrain. Ram has the largest brakes in the class (14.3" with dual-piston calipers in front, 14.1" in back), and standard ESP with full ABS, Traction Control, Trailer Sway Control, Hill Start Assist, Brake Assist, and Electronic Roll Mitigation. The Trailer Sway Control can actually apply trailer brakes to a trailer in an emergency situation ,even if no trailer brake controller is present! Although Ram makes that really easy to fix to with the available fully-integrated Trailer Brake Controller. The Ram's new styling the boldest of any of the trucks, and offers the most finished, and complete look of any of it's competitors. Now strange body lines, akward buldges, or after-thought design cues here - this truck looks great! And the functionality is amazing! Everything is tidy and in a sensible location. This truck was made with the driver in mind, as demonstrated by the ease of reach of all the controls in the cabin. Also, the bold styling also allows the Ram to be the most areodynamic truck on the market. Only the old 94-01 Rams have been more efficient. The Ram has it all! Power, capability, fuel economy, roominess, a host of high-end tech features, good looks, a mean attitude, and best of all, value! Even if you're a Ford guy, or a Chevy guy, or Toyota guy, or not even a truck guy - go drive a Ram, and see what you've been missing!

Hemi love

I just purchased a 2010, Ram 1500 Sport, Crew cab, 2 x 4. I do not like this truck...I LOVE this truck. I have owned cars and SUV's but never a pickup truck and I must say this truck is amazing. I have never even owned an Amercan vehicle before but the RAM is making me a convert. I drove all the competitors, and I suggest you do the same, because when you drive the RAM you will feel the difference. The HEMI is perfect, never have I felt so comfortable driving such a powerful engine. When they say this truck drives like a car they mean it. No bouncing around the cab, nice and smooth over all surfaces. Not much is written about the UConnect feature, but it's worth the extra money in my opinion. Hands free phone calls is the safest feature in my book. Voice recognition software works well after you train it. I would not hesitate to buy this vehicle again. With the current cash back and 0 % financing offers you can't lose.
