Loving it so far

So far the car is a winner. Did a lot of researching before the purchase and I can see why. Picked up the SEL with 79k fully loaded for $12k black on black. Will have to revise after we get some miles on ours.

A great car to drive

One of great best cars I have ever driven. It was designed with the family in mind. Roomy and comfortable, it has all the equipment anyone would need for a comfortable, enjoying rid; whether it's on a family vacation or down the road.

BiG ED!

I'm very happy with my selection and I definitely had my choices. But nothing gives you piece of mind than that feeling of knowing "that's your car". BiG ED and I are getting to know each other and I'm sure it will be AWESOMESAUSE!!!

Worst car ever

This is the worst car i have ever had. I have had transmission leaks ever since i got it and kept bringing it to the dealer whi kept saying this is the last time (the pronlem still exists 5 years later). I called Ford Motor for help and they were useless. Will never buy a Ford again Ever.

Surprized

I was first attracted to the Ford Explorer but upon observing that the Edge appeared to be better made, I decided to test drive the Edge. I ended up buying the 2011 Pearl White Limited FWD.I realized that I really did not need AWD. When it snows really deep I prefer to stay at home anyway. I love the styling, the Sync, the sound system, the leather seats and the other features. The only drawback is that the system registers a door ajar when it is tightly shut. This is a nuisance. This is a common problem with the EDGE. Other than that I am pleased...very pleased.

Excellent Vehicle

I purchased a 2011 Ford Edge SEL AWD with 64K miles about a month ago. It replaced a 1996 Chevy Tahoe with about 300K miles that was finally starting to show it's age. (so far, the best truck I've owned)Since then, I've put about 2000 miles on the Edge and am really enjoying it. I really like the handling, its very tight and agile. It has great traction in everything from snow to dry pavement. The brakes are GREAT! Acceleration is good too. It really puts the sport in SUV. Gas mileage has been pretty close to the ratings. Instrumentation and controls are well placed and easy to use. Other things I like are the storage space under the rear deck around the spare tire, the large flat cargo space with the rear seats folded down, and a lift gate that really works. All of the routine maintenance items are located where they can be easily accessed. On the other side, a few minor issues. The standard drivers side seat is good, but my wife doesn't think the passenger seat fits her very well. There's less storage space that's accessible from the drivers seat. The center console takes up a lot of room and the storage compartment in it is awkward to get into. I miss having full engine instrumentation. Engine temperature is all you get, and only if you select it on the center display. All in all, I think this vehicle really fits my needs well and I'm really happy with it. It's a lot of fun to drive and it can still haul a lot of stuff.

Beware!

The water pump on this vehicle is located inside the engine. Ours went out with no warning at 91,000 miles. Because of the design of this vehicle, and the fact that we got an "overtemp" warning light about 30 seconds before the engine blew, I would not recommend this vehicle to ANYONE. Our dealership recommended that we call Ford for help, but we were offered nothing, barely an apology. The customer service rep that we spoke with told us that the dealership would have called if they really thought that there was a serious issue. When I told the dealership what I was told, the dealership told me that they have been advised that they should NOT call for assistance, but to have the customer call! Poor customer support, poor engine design = I will never buy another Ford!

Ford Edge Limited

This is my 2nd Ford Edge I have owned and this time I got exactly what I wanted from the paint color to interior color. It has everything I've ever wanted. This vehicle makes me feel safe on the road with also sporting class and style. I would recommend anyone wanting a great vehicle for their family, they should most definitely take a look a this SUV. #nolongerjustachevygirl
