Happy with the turbobust, saves fuel and will move

Great excelleration when needed and has very good fuel mileage. Comfort in this small SUV is exceptional and I"m a large man. There is plenty of headroom for a tall person and also there is plenty of storage space in the rear for luggage or wprk projects that may arrise around the homefront.

Traded our Explorer for this Edge. I haven't been disappointed. Ride is smooth. Performance is great with the turbo!

New Purchase of a Ford Edge

We have only driven about 1,000 KMs so far but I can say that the comfort and feeling of the vehicle is incredible. The technological capabilities of the vehicle (lane assist, parking assist etc) is fantastic and provides real comfort for longer journeys and city life too, in getting into those small parking spots. The interior of the truck feels very high end with leather seats and the detail that has gone into the design of the vehicle. We had opted for the more powerful engine and the gas consumption appears to be moderate even though a more powerful and larger vehicle. We are very happy with the purchase and will be taking it on a longer drive from Ontario to New Brunswick in November to really give it a chance to shine on a longer road trip.

Ford Edge

This is a great family car. Has loads of room, but we also needed a car that we can flat tow behind our RV. Salesperson clueless on how this works and even less on correct engine (V-6 vs V4) Make sure you double check Dinghy Towing Guide before buying the Ford Edge for towing,.

Pleasure to drive

Perfect size for us. Easy to park, turn and maneuver. Sight lines are very good all around. We are soon to begin a longer tour to south California and this will be a good test for comfort and performance.

Love My Edge

My new Edge is very comfortable to drive and to ride in. The improved suspension system provides what I had formerly found in a luxury automobile not an SUV.

Comfortable ride and looks great too!

We test drove 4 other makes, Terrain, Explorer, Grand Cherokee, and an Escape. The Edge, was the best choice for us. Once we decided we really didn't need the 3rd row seating, the Edge was an easy choice. We considered the price, the gas mileage, and the color choices and everything pointed us to the Edge.

Better than the Acura RDX

The Edge is larger, has more options and is the same price as the standard Acura RDX without any of the optional equipment. It's much nicer looking as well. The only issue I have with it, and maybe it is because I'm not fully used to it yet, is the sensors that detect other cars, curbs or anything around the car, I feel may be a little bit too sensitive. Other than that, I absolutely love this SUV and would recommend it to anyone. I lease and will definitely stay with the Ford Edge when it comes time to renew the lease.

Almost great

I have the titanium model with 19" wheels which i had to special order because 20" wheels are more common. I got the 19" wheels because I assume they ride quieter than the 20". You cannot get the 18" wheels on the Titanium version. The ride is very quite on newly paved roads. However in the Northeast we have many asphalt roads with cracks and potholes. On these roads the Edge suspension transmits a pronounced rumble. My wife's 2011 Lexus 350 has a more muffled sound. On the highway the Edge is very quite on new asphalt but on old concrete the pavement joints are felt more so than the 2012 Lexus. Wind noise is very subdued. This is important to me as I listen to books when on the highway. The Titanium roof slides way back to let in sunlight. Not sure who would want it. When its opened wind noise is negligible. The seats have raised ridges on the sides which may be a problem for people with large butts. The touch screen controls are easy to use. I like the traffic indications on the GPS which are similar to the waze app which shows traffic jams as red lines. Its nice to know what the traffic is ahead. I test drove the Kia Sorento and Lexus 350. They are very similar in size. I ruled out the Lexus because of style, particularly the snowplow grill. The Kia was a close second .
