Prefer Over Last Three Mercedes

I can truly say this is the best car I've owned - ever! That's after having owned three Mercedes: 2012 SLK350, 2014 ML350, 2016 C450 AMG. The luxury is better, the dashboard tech is superior, and the performance is more reliable. With the twin turbo and sport mode, it just gets you to where you want to be, and now! Want to merge into the freeway traffic and a jerk won't let you in, the boost on this solves that problem. The adaptive cruise control, lane keeping and steering are all nice, but I don't use them much. It does a great job of staying between the lines and steering curves by itself, but making me keep my hands on the steering wheel renders it a useless feature. I do like the adaptive cruise control where it will maintain a fixed distance between me and the car ahead. I added on an Escort Max Ci 360 and a front/back BlackVue camera system. Great additions!

Poor marks for trunk noise over bumps (thumping)

As other reviews stated, I agree that this vehicle is worthy of high marks in all areas—except for the cargo floor materials. The storage compartments under the cargo floor (surrounding the spare tire) thump loudly over larger bumps, and the bottom surface of the removable floor is a hard material that adds to the noise and needs an acoustic material as well to prevent it. The 2019 Edge is otherwise a very comfortable, well-equipped vehicle (mine is a fully optioned Edge Titanium, w/Elite package), and a pleasure to drive. Excellent attention is given to acoustics (windshield, and front row door glass), and then Ford completely cheaped out in the lower cargo storage area. Ford Service applied two-sided foam tape under some areas of the compartments, which helped, but the thumping is still present over larger bumps, which becomes fatiguing (and eventually annoying) every time because of the otherwise very quiet cabin. I'm hoping that by applying more two-sided foam tape to the entire underside of the storage compartments, I can eliminate the rest of that part of the problem. I've purchased and outdoor carpet to insulate the lower side of the cargo floor to eliminate the rest of the noise. You may not notice it at first, especially if the roads in your area are smooth, but you will if they have a lot of manhole covers and bumps along your commute. Otherwise, I am very pleased with this vehicle as an upgrade from a Ford Fusion (for cargo capacity/flexibility), and have no other qualms about recommending it.

I leased a 2015 Ford Edge and leased another.

I was very familiar with the Ford Edge having driven a Edge for the last 3 years. I just leased another but with more bells and whistles.

One of the best vehicles I’ve owned

My new Ford Edge exceeds my expectations for comfort, style and performance. This is the first vehicle I have owned with the Eco Boost system. I was skeptical at first but after test driving I was very impressed with the amount of power that system added to a four cyclinder engine. I have the titanium edition and love the comfortable, luxurious and quiet performance it offers.

First SUV I've owned

Comfortable and I like that I don't have to dig into a trunk anymore. Love the 4 cyl engine w eco boost. Plenty of power. We like the navigation and bluetooth options. And Ruby is red so she can be found in a snowdrift.

So far a fantastic ride.

Has all the bells and whistles I wanted and rides great. The color was a little different than I thought it would be, but I am happy with it.

Superb Quality in every aspect

I test drove the F-Pace, Velar, GLE and Q5 and the Edge was so much better in every aspect. I have the Titanium AWD with Equipment Group 301A. This car has everything that you could want at a much lesser price. My purchase was not about price, as I would have paid more for a better car, but the smooth ride, quiet interior, handing was so much better that the more expensive competitors. Considering everything this vehicle has, along with the overall performance, it has to be one of the best value for money vehicles out there.

Now I’m a believer!

I thought ford meant nothing less than heartache. Then I took a look at EdgeST! The lines were sleek and modern. The seats were firm but good. Then I drove the car! Twin scroll turbo six, with sport mode 8 speed AT, funny how intoxicating the Bang and Olufsen piped in engine roar makes you imagine it’s a GT350 Shelby. My grandson, all of 8 yrs old tells Mommy” You have to drive grandpas new car, and put it in sport mode!” This Ford has all the latest tech bells and whistles, and in this my first month has been flawless. It feels as solid and well built as all my previous Lexus, Infiniti and Benz cars that went before it. Folks! They’ve finally caught up and it’s American! Thank you!
