First SUV Experience
This used car met my criteria - I was looking for something that had some zip to it, had a 2.0L engine DOHC, was AWD, and got decent gas mileage. The dependability ratings were among the best for year 2014 compact SUV's, it was in good condition with new tires, battery, and brakes with at least 60% of the life left in them, it's got great space to haul around my dogs and backpacking gear, and handles fairly well. In addition, it had a tow package, so that was kinda nice. It does seem to have large blind spots, which I guess most SUV's do, so that's a change to get used to. I wish it had rails on top, but I can get those installed. In snow and icy roads in my neighborhood, it still drives the same as any vehicle would in those conditions; I was hoping to feel at least a little more secure with AWD (AWD doesn't automatically mean you can drive on anything at whatever speed you want, I was well aware of that beforehand), but it's about the same. I'll be interested to see how it handles in more mountainous regions. I'm still new and learning about all the features and driving it, so these are just my initial thoughts.

My first car in US and performs to expectations
Definitely value for money. Got it at a low mileage and had no issues over the last 15 months I have been using it. Though a basic model, it very well meets all of my requirements. Be it freeway or city drive, the ford escape is a pleasure to drive and is very spacious to carry your household essentials including furniture etc.

Very stylish
After a series of mechanical issues with my 2006 Escape, I felt it was time to upgrade. I knew I could count on the Escape xxxxxon my prior ownership of one so it was a "no brainer" to purchase the 2014 Escape.

Best Car for it's price!
This car is amazing. When I bought it, it was a great experience. I have the Ecoboost with the Platinum package. I spoiled myself, I will never drive anything without a Platinum Package or drive anything that is not a Ford.

A Very Practical SUV
I purchased this vehicle and owned it for over 2 years. I can tell you honestly that this is a very practical vehicle. It has everything you need for the everyday individual. Have enough space to move a couch. You can fit all your friends for a road trip. Great gas mileage if your commuting. Enough power to overtake on the highway. Can tow a decent amount for light jobs. Handles snow and ice flawlessly - especially with the correct tires. AWD identifies slip situations and appropriately applies ample power to the wheels that need it. It's just an all around great vehicle. If you need something that's going to adapt to various different situations throughout the lifetime of you owning a vehicle, this is it. Grab the extended warranty though - gives you peace of mine. I recommend this to anyone looking to purchase a car that has what you need, not what you want. No more, no less. Good job, Ford.

This is the most uncomfortable vehichle ever
Traded my Camry for this suv when our baby was born. I?m 5?7 my husband 6?0. This is the most uncomfortable vehichle I?ve ever ridden in and i pwned a VW beetle before the Camry. If you are driving a short errand around town and have no passengers yes it?s a great vehichle. It gets great MPG (28avg SE model). My sons chicco nextfit car seat barely fits in back seat. we are expecting another child and will have to upgrade to a larger vehichle. The AC design is what makes this vehichle the worst . The front ac vents face upward never allowing the cool air to fully blow full on driver or passenger. And there is virtually no air flow to back seat. No air vents in rear console or ceiling. I always pull My son out of car seat sweaty in summer months. Do your research on this vehichle . Trust me I?m not a hard person to please but this is not a comfortable ride for us or our children.
