Sportiest Compact SUV I Looked At, Then Purchased

This vehicle checked almost all of the boxes I was looking for in a car. I previously drove a 2013 Ford Mustang, so I wanted something with great performance and handling that would help me transition out of a sport car into an SUV. It was not within my budget to purchase a larger vehicle with a V6, and I did not want a larger vehicle anyway. I heavily researched this car, as well as other compact SUVs. The only other vehicle I was considering was a Honda CR-V, but the price was significantly higher than the Escape. With the Escape, I felt like I got the most bang for my buck. I purchased the mid-trim level, the SE. The highest trim level, the Titanium, is top of the line and absolutely gorgeous, but was out of my price range as well. I'm incredibly pleased with the Escape and do not regret, even a little, my choice. I would highly recommend. It handles just like a car and the performance is great. I was worried about power and acceleration, as I was so used to the performance of my Mustang, but the Escape SE does not disappoint. Highly recommend!

Once a Ford girl, always a Ford girl!

After owning and loving my three Ford Fusion AWD cars, I decided it was time to try something different. I went in for an oil change and to have my front brakes done on my Fusion and drove out in a new Escape! I love the fact that I'm higher up and my Sheltie loves it too! The only thing I wish it has was the key fob like the Fusion and being able to open the door with the fob in your pocket. The Escape has plenty of power and I love the fuel saving function where the engine shuts down when you are at a stop sign or light. I also love the fact that the Escape has Apple Car Play! What can I say, I'm just a happy, very happy Escape owner. P.S. Brian at Central Ford in Central Village, CT was a great salesman! And Central's service center is pretty awesome too!

Nice car

It is nice. It connects to my phone, has back up camera. I don't like the auto start/stop feature and you have to manually shut it off . I went from a fun Jeep Wrangler that I would offroad to this, so I am happy for what it is.

Love the performane & the "bells and whistles"

Was really in a jam for a new car. Have been eyeing the Escape and Explorer on the road. My budget help make my choice of the Escape. Really have enjoyed it so far. The zippiness and all of its features. My son likes it as well

Better gas mileage than my little Dodge Ne

Beautiful! Love the sync feature and the back up camera. I have knee problems and the Ford Escape gives me plenty of room, the power seat adjustments with memory controls and the adjustable steering wheel make it exceptionally easy to get in and out of without excrutiang pain in my knee. It's low enough to the ground to get in and out of comfortably. I love that the back seats recline for napping and fold forward for transporting. The techie in me loves the electronic eye on the lift gate.

1st brand new CAR! Love it!

I love my new car. It is wonderful, beautiful. Easy to drive. Only concern is the energy saver thing. Sometimes it feels line the transmission jumps. Could be because I was driving an old mini van and need to just get used to driving a good car.

Fantastic vehicle

Roomy, safe, convenient, powerful. The Escape has so many great options, the hands free texting and phone options are so convenient and safe. The foot activated lift gate is fantastic. The option to unlock the car from the outside if the keys are inside is wonderful

Glad to have a new reliable car

This car is great for the money and rates very well as far as insurance! A good buy for me and my activities. Has lots of space for shopping and running my nieces around!

Love my car. Just traded a 2014 will always recommend Ford product. Would never buy any other dealer. The best vehicle I have ever owned.

Tech needs improvement

I?ll start with the positive. I absolutely love the sport package appearance on my 2017 Escape Titanium. The rims, the black accents and the leather trimmed bucket seats are all awesome. I get compliments all the time. However, I really wish I waited until a 2.0 L Ecoboost was available on a lot near me. The 1.5 L is capable, but it?s a little sluggish on hills and it?s full power doesn?t catch until at least 15 seconds of accelerating on highway. The fuel economy on the 1.5 L is WAY below what is advertised, which was the only reason I justified getting the 1.5. The tech and software package is a nightmare. While I really appreciate Apple CarPlay (minus not being able to use Google Maps, but that?s on Apple), I?ve brought it into the dealer four times since purchasing in May 2017 for problems with the Hill Start Assist Brake, Sync and the back up camera interface. The dealer has been great during these problems but it still is disheartening. Overall, it?s really pretty but it?s given me far more headaches in 5 months than my faithful 08 Ford Focus S ever did during our 9 years together. I still would recommend this car, but with the 2.0 L Ecoboost and with an extended warranty if you plan to keep it longer than 3 years.
