2017 Ford Explorer

The vehicle meets all my needs. Had a RAV4 and wanted a bigger SUV. An Expedition was too big. You might need to go to class to use some of the Navigation interaction, but what I know how to use works great.

Usual SUV

A am really a car guy, but got this for my wife mainly. All the other SUV we drove (Santa Fe, Murano, X5, MDX, Infinity FX) seem to be the same as the Ford. Don't care for all the technology in vehicles these days. More technology in car makes drivers worse not better. Smarter drivers not smarter cars, but that's not the objective

New Ford family member.

So far, it has surpassed the expectations. The roomies vehicle and the four wheel drive is excellent. Stability upon sudden breaking is fabulous. I would recommend this to all older folks. I am 83 and just loving the performance.

No convenience features for back seat.

This was a beautiful XLT that was fully loaded. However, the back captain's chairs didn't have arm resets or power outlets for the kids.

Third Explorer is best yet

I like the Explorer because it gives me head room to leave my hat on while I drive. It can accommodate 7 passengers, but the rear can also fold down for hauling things. The new navigation system and screen is very well done. The only dislike at this moment is that it honks twice if you step out of the vehicle with the engine running and the key in your pocket (keyless start). It is not a subtle honk; it is a full-sounded honk - twice. In Wisconsin, we are in and out of the vehicle while the engine is running all of the time due to the cold temperatures.

Amazing Car-More car than a Lexus GX

Better technology, electric back seats, and back door, smooth ride, zippy engine. The new Lexus GX doesn't even compare (the GX was my backup option). The back door of the Lexus opens the wrong way and no electric.
