Solid & realistically dependable

As a 6'+ person, these front seating was very roomy. Owned it for over a decade. Travelled all over the USA for work & play. I was raised to always stay ahead of maint. regiment, this honestly only let me down once. The tranny's have a short lifespan regardless the care from what I have learned over the years in the forums I am a part of. Around 150,000 miles is all you should expect from the 4R100 auto tranny behind these wonderful 7.3L international diesel engines. rotors & pads lasted alot longer then I expected. The forums is where I also learned of & installed mod's that extened the life of the engine & truck (as well as my enjoyment of it). TYMAR, HPX, oil bypass & 6.0 tranny cooler upgrades are all stuff I did. My next truck was a full crew cab version of the extended cab I am currently selling. Reason? I wanted a stickshift and my 6 kiddos needed more leg room.

Tough Old Truck

This truck has been a solid truck for our company and a great personal truck for family functions, has all the creature comforts you need and none that you don't. the rubber steering wheel is a bit cold in the winter but with the good ole ford heater you'll be able to cruise with your window down in -20 degrees, cloth seats so comfy you wont want to quit driven, and 7.3 diesel engine that will last generations with proper maintenance. There's no silly technology to fail, no nonsense dash that tells you only what you need, am\fm with a cd player and cassette player, simple cruise control on the steering wheel, and an awesome flip up center console that is just the right height for an arm rest plus you can flip it up if you need to for an extra seat.

Beyond my expectations

Despite being an 18 year old truck, it is fantastic. The 7.3 diesel is famous for its durability and it has lots of power. Im getting 15 mpg with this giant crew cab 1 ton truck, which is unbelievable. I like the great visibility from the cab and i am really pleased with the comfort. Im a big guy and the leg room is spectacular.

Its 2015! TRUCK HAS NEVER HAD A PROBLEM BUT TIRES ,BRAKES, AND BATTERIES. Not only the best truck I ever had , its the best thing on wheels I ever owned out off many!Including Toyota. Hate changing the 15 quarts of oil, glad its only every 5000. Just hit 160,000.

1999 Ford F350 V10 - Towing Dream

I like it, be aware that the coils go out on these things if you wash the motor. These things tow like nobody's business.

Best Vehicle Ever Owned!

I am the only owner. Purchased the truck in May of 1998. This is the early year introduction of the 1999 Superduty. I bought the diesel and tow packages with 4.10 differential. It will pull anything I can hook it up to. Through the mountians out west and it never slows down. Haven't had a competing brand beat me to the top of a hill with a trailer on the back. I just turned over 200,000 miles. Only major repair was the transmission at 168,000 miles. I also use it to plow snow in the winter. This truck has been worked hard and played hard. Just can't seem to wear it out.
