It does not pay to be a Ford owner
Yes, I had a 2008 F450 King Ranch I’d love the truck when I first bought it secondhand but it wasn’t much longer after I had the truck and the engine blew up and Ford would not help me out it cost over $11,000 to have the engine rebuilt it was no fault of mine Ford had problems with the 6.4 diesel made by international Navistar. I had owned Fords all my life and actually purchased the Previous Ford products which included an 85 Thunderbird a 1990 Ford Mustang a 1994 bronco and a 2002 F350 from the same dealer near my home in Margate Florida. I ended up trading the 350 in for a 450 while I was working in Texas there was a factory recall on the 450 but nothing serious I hadn’t had the truck but maybe a year and a half while I was pulling my camper. The number eight injector came apart and Hydro lockedthe engine it was only a couple of thousand miles out of warranty and Ford turn their back on me after all the products that I had purchased over the years I could not believe Ford would not help me out

LOVE MY TRUCK!
Bought a 08 Ford F-450 2 years ago with 87,000 for 30 grand. Flew out to Omaha and drove it back to Wyoming. Diesel hog to the max. Spent a lot getting it back. Have replaced: front locking hubs-both sides, shocks, wheels, tires, mirrors (both sides) running boards, front and back bumpers, new brakes and rotors, (Ranchhand on the front because of too many deer on the road out here near the Wind River Mtns. (I've hit 6 in 20 years with my suburban)). Had it tuned with a computer I bought out of Canada, The same company won't sell it in the states. We cut off everything and tricked it into thinking it still had all the smog stuff. Straight pipe to the back and I no longer need to add def. Have lot's of horsepower and I don't even have it on the go-fast tune. It also doesn't have the old way of following the ruts in the road and it doesn't decide to change lanes on it's own anymore with the Striker front steering 2 shock arm. Steers easily with my pinky now. 100 gallon tank in the back helps me from jouncing off the ceiling due to the stiff ride. I was getting 11 or less mpg. Now I avg around 18 and in long hauls more like 24. That is if I go 55. 65 and up the mileage goes down significantly. Great looking truck, I just love it regardless of what others say. Got it with a hairline crack in the oil pan. Replacing that pan cost $3500 as the engine had to be lifted. Replaced the fuel filters on it and still have the original tires as well as a new set of 6, anyone interested?

Best used truck I’ve acquired from a dealer
Great , it’s what I was looking for. It handles great, lots of torque. Good condition, I’m very happy. Even though I had to go so far, The Jansen came through.

So far the truck has been great. Great shape for being used. I needed it to pull my tractor and small back hoe with. It is in very good shape and looks great.

Be aware of diesel
This model had dpf issues and computer issues. Radiator leaked caused by back pressure of dpf. Motor would heat and build pressure. Head gasket blew Computer Board was replaced Front tires had constant uneven wear. Whelp hub leaked. All this under warranty. Then it repeated the above

We used this truck to pull our fifth wheel camper and a living quarter horse trailer that we had. We’ve sold both trailers and dont need it any more. I never had any reservations driving this truck it very reliable. Great truck for the money.
