Love my Fiesta
Although this car is small, you can't beat the gas mileage. I own one currently, and it is my 2nd Fiesta. They are great to zip around town in, or go on a long drive.

Just ok.
Its a good car for the value. It fit my needs at the time but it is a small vehicle. The front seats are pretty roomy but the back seating is tight. My kids have quickly out grown it. I do love the gas mileage.

You get what you pay for.
A tiny car. I didn't have a problem with the size though. It's a 5-speed and 6 years old now, just paid off. I replaced tires and brakes in the 4th year with 30k miles on it (yes - those are wear items). Now, with 56k miles on it I had to replace the transmission and the clutch.

Handles very well.
Very reliable and affordable. It's easy to drive and handles better than most cars I've driven. It also has a spacious trunk for a tiny car.

Most Practical Car
I chose the 5 door hatchback simply for ease of use for cargo room. What I got was a very pleasant surprise. I found out after purchasing the car has height adjustable seating for the driver which makes entry/exits much easier. The steering wheel audio controls and voice command with Ford Sync are awesome, not to mention Sirius XM radio. I never thought having satellite radio was a big deal, now I can't live without it. The only thing I am getting used to now is the 1.6L 4cyl engine that only has 120bhp. Paired with the 6 speed auto it has ok performance but nothing to brag about. It does have fantastic fuel economy though. Currently I am averaging 30 mpg combined which is really good. When it comes time to upgrade I will probably buy a newer model of this or a Focus hatch.

Great small car that drives like a bigger car
I am very happy with this car, it's exactly what I was looking for. Very smooth at highway speeds and above. Gets great gas mileage with about 37 on the hiway and about 28 in town. I did buy the Fiesta with a manual transmission- easy to shift and drive. It has a lot of front passenger room, back seats has less room but I didn't buy it for the back seat room as I wanted the hatchback for the versatility of load space. The engine is pretty peppy for a 4 cylinder but of course it is not a Mustang GT. I can see why it is very popular in Europe. It doesn't drive like a economy car, even my wife likes driving it.

Transmission and Cooling Issues
This is the first generation Ford Fiesta, and the first iteration of the manu-matic transmission, which has had a ton of recall issues and problems. We picked up our Fiesta used with a little over 35k miles on it in 2014, so hoped the major issues had been taken care of. They weren't, but we were still under the extended warranty and kept taking it back to Ford to fix it... The car never ran great, but we didn't have any major issues until we hit the extended warranty deadline and since we topped 65k miles, we've had nothing but expensive issues with the transmission slipping and now that the cooling system has gone out, we're in the market for a new vehicle. It's sad, because we also have a 2016 Ford Fiesta ST purchased recently, and I've had no problems with that vehicle whatsoever and love driving it. The 2016 ST and the 2011 SE just drive like completely different vehicles.
