Blessing in disguise

I was in a tough situation and the car really is what it is! Low miles, dependable and comfortable! I'm so happy with my decision to buy this car, even the kids love it! So many cool features

Disappointed

I had to replace the entire power steering unit -- this was a defect -- cost for used one $1,070; then, for whatever reason, salt and sand got into my entire fuse box and fried all the fuses and lines -- replacement time -- my local garage came to my rescue so it did not cost me $1,500. New snow tires are worn in front end ... huh? Trunk pops open unexpectedly and intermittently when I'm driving; an inconvenience. What else ...

It has had a lot of issues.

It is a very cute car and very fuel efficient. Unfortunately, all the issues that the car has acquired have made it an inconvenient vehicle.

Good but no cigar

This car is a good car but we had to do a lot of work on it on stuff that wasnt too huge but costly like the 02 sensor.

Could've been great

Let me start by saying I loved everything about my fiesta while I had it. Comfort, driveability, handling, efficiency. Sync was a bit annoying at first but I got the hang of it. The real problem started when one thing went wrong with the car. It seems to have snowballed from there. Everything that could go wrong went wrong in such a small span of time. I researched my issues and found them to be very common and it bugged me even more. I don't understand why ford would allow these vehicles to still be on the road with all the problematic components.

Don't buy if you get snow.

My girlfriend has had this car for almost a year, and I've never seen so many problems. She did buy used, however it only had 40k miles. 11' SES hatchback with the 5 speed manual. Brand new studded winter tires, and this thing could get stuck on a snowball, and they didn't put any tow hooks in the front, so have fun shoveling and pushing. The steering is already letting go, right blinker doesn't work, ac compressor quit, alternator is weak, gone through 2 sets of tie rods, and better not hit a June bug going any faster than 30, or you're gonna need a new bumper. I swear I could sneeze on the plastics and you'd lose half a bumper. This car is certainly not "built ford tough."

2011 Ford Fiesta = Dream Car

The 2011 Ford Fiesta has an estimated MPG of 28 city / 38 Highway. If I were you, buy this exact car. Buy the one with Manual so you save money. I taught myself manual so I could drive it and honestly. I get 39mpg city, while constantly stopping at red lights. And 42 highway. It goes to show that manual is still better than automatic with gas mileage.

Update to previous review

Since my original review, me and the Lil Green Machine have been through some stuff. In Dec. 2014, the starter had to be replaced, covered under warranty. In July 2014, I had to make an emergency stop. This somehow threw the timing out of whack and resulted in about $1600 in repairs. How this happened, I have no clue and neither does the dealer. Luckily, most of the repairs were covered under warranty, but I was out $500. The car now has 80k miles on it and I have not had any issues since. SNOW: This is a light weight car, and thus speed is important to pay attention to in rain and snow. When driving on unplowed roads, powder or even a thin layer of water, the car floats on the surface at slower speeds that most small car's I've owned in the past. I have good all season tires, so I can only attribute this to the light weight. Still love this car for daily commuting and long trips.

Awesome Daily Driver

I drive this car 110 miles a day. It did have to have the clutch pack changed at 80K and the dealer aid for it but otherwise it is fun to drive and gets ~39mpg on the highway. Love this car
