Get a 2010/2011 Focus, It's a great car.
My 91 Taurus was on it's last leg at 230,000 miles in January 2010, so I needed a new car. Because of my location, I wanted good gas mileage, and it is primarily used to go to work. Saw this 2010 Ford Focus Sangria Red SE Coupe and just had to test it. Well to shorten this review up, I will just tell you about what it can do. It has a small 2.0L engine. In the winter averages 32 mpg. After the first oil change it improves gas mileage. A little light for snow covered roads, but handles just fine as a front wheel drive car. It also helps that I have lived in Northern Illinois all my life. When you need to jump on the interstate and kick it up a notch, it responds quite well. It actual surprised me how quick it is. I drive 30 miles to work and then 30 miles back on half interstate/ half blacktop backroad and I am averaging 36 mpg combined. I drive 56 mph on anything non highway/interstate, but 5 over the posted speed limit on highway/interstate. Now the styling is pretty good. I have a spoiler on the back with a black racing stripe on the trunk, spoiler, and hood due to the fact I want my car to look different from all the focus's out there. There are a lot. I do not care for that indent at the bottom of the trunk lid on the back. It collects water, and will probably be one of the first spots rust will show up. Fog lights are a nice thing to have. The wipers are not the best, but also not the worst I have seen. As for the interior, I occasionally have people in the back seat, and the design of the front seats are designed in such a way that you have to use a lot of strength to slided the seat, especially on the right side, forwards to let people back there. Also, it is a nice thing to have the back seats able to fold down to haul bigger things such as big flat screen televisions. The Ford Sync is amazing for I do use those voice commands, but have still not used my bluetooth phone to talk throught the car speakers, but my Dad does. I use it for music. I'll hit the button on the steering wheel to talk, and say USB, and then the system in the car will scan the device through the USB port located in front of the shifter, and then you go from there. Here's a tip, you can use a $20 flash drive and get the music from your computer and have hundreds of songs, or you can spend all that extra money you could have saved on an IPOD. Another thing, if you don't annunciate, you may find yourself cussing out your automobile. Definetly get the cruise control. If this tells you anything, my father went and bought a 2011 Ford Focus SES because he occassionally was allowed to drive mine, and loved the gas mileage. He also went with 4 doors. The coupes doors are longer, and you are able to see better when getting on the interstate than in the 4 door. He also has bigger tires, and I haven't noticed much of a difference in ride quality. And to top it off, an older gentleman and his wife I used to work with bought a 2011 Ford Focus SEL after test driving it, and knowing how much I enjoyed driving mine. So there you have it, I could go on and on, but I will stop. And there you go Ford, three focus sold, so you must be doing something right. I hope this review was helpful and good luck on either finding a vehicle or driving a Focus.

Incredible value for the price!
What a great surprise! Initially, I was not terribly excited about purchasing a Focus. After all, it seems that every third car on the road is a silver Focus. There is a reason for this! It far exceeds every other vehicle in it's price range. I am in my car for about three hours per day, so it is important for my vehicle to be comfortable, fuel efficient, and reliable. I am getting an average of 38 mpg highway and am thrilled with the performance. I would not hesitate to purchase another one and highly recommend this to anyone considering a purchase.

Impressed!
I had to replace my commuter car of 14 yrs (1996 Saturn coupe). It had 360,005 miles on it when I traded it in. I got 35 to 40 mpg so I had to find something similar for my 112 mile round trip to work. Ford was offering $4,000 rebates at the time so I looked into a Focus 2dr coupe. I really liked it and got an additional $1,000 off negotiating with the salesman. Final price $13,200. What a great car! 23,000 trouble free miles so far and my fuel mileage has ranged from 32 to 39 mpg. 2011 is the last year of this platform so they will be giving these things away toward the end of the year, take advantage of this and you'll get a great car at a great price.

Great Vehicle!
I bought my Focus last year and it's been wonderful! I've taken it on road trips and I've gotten 39-40 miles per gallon on the highway and interstates. It's very roomy, since we fit 4 adults comfortably plus luggage into the Focus. It's also nice that the seat heights adjust and the top part of the seat belts adjust also, so the seat belts don't cut across uncomfortably. My car has been wonderful and even started in 30 below weather! I highly recommend this vehicle! It maneuvers nicely on ice, snow, mud, mountains, and paved roads. The best purchase you'll ever make!

Every thing we hoped for and more
We were looking for an affordable small car that was solid in construction and offered great gas mileage. Our Focus, a 5-speed, has done just that. The $2,500 rebate brought the price down, and the gas mileage has been about 35 per gallon combined. The car shifts perfectly and gives it plenty of pep. It?s a great car, and we were happy we could buy an American-made product. No regrets.
