Transmission problems, not reuable

This vehicle sucks, I have had it for 5 years and every year maybe twice a year the transmission starts giving up and shuttering and I have to take it in for a ?reprogram.? I am scared for my wife to drive the car because I feel like it?s just going to stop working. The seats are not comfortable, there isn?t very much room. I would not buy a ford again.

Lots of promise... but

It's a fun looking little sports car that should be better than it is. I saw it and thought it would be the Ford version of the old Dodge stealth. The stealth was a $20k version of the Viper - lots of power in a small, cheap package. The focus could have been a mini mustang... But it isn't. It has some good pickup, but it handles jerkily and doesn't have the cornering one would expect. On top of that, the transmission is jerky and is prone to issues, some of which are dangerous...like losing top gear at speed on a highway.

I have to put a tarp on my car before every rain s

I was leaving for college the next day. Test drove the car & really liked it. Just not color. Sister lot had better color, gave me same deal, & met us with it. ARRIVAL: There was damage to the RF quarter panel. "It is used what do you expect?" Says salesman from the 50's. I lived on campus so not much driving & I had parking garage space. Came home one time and next day wouldn't start. NUTS!!!! I used my dad's truck. Got back it started. Did this 3 more times. When I saw him blow drying the engine with leaf blower I knew it was time to call for service appt. Well $500 later wires were exposed. Not like squirrels chewed on them. ALL of the wires for ignition were never bundled nor covered. OK We are good to go. Next thunderstorm came & next morning my car wouldn't start. In comes tow truck out goes my car. Another $500 later the computer got wet. REPEAT AGAIN but no warranty this time $680 module wiggled loose and got wet. The guys are very nice & know what they are doing & short of calling the other Ford dealer telling them they can't believe they let a car go out in the shape mine was in.... Service guy said drive a little bit because we are supposed to get rain this week. Well we did. And 2 times it barely started and this morning didn't start at all. Here comes the tow truck phone call. All I've ever owned is a Ford, but this one has got to be an imitation. SUX

Excellent value

I had always owned Toyotas and was a bit hesitant to switch when my 20 year old Corrolla finally needed to be retired (still running at 280K miles, just feeling old), so I did TONS of research and in 2013 this was a top rated car and for good reason. It's well built, good gas mileage and safe (those were my main reasons for buying). Mine has 145K now and still feels like new.

It's pretty OK

Not my dream car but super reliable and economical. The transmission issues takes away from having a really good car. Still a pretty good car fro the price.

I love this modern car

I was able to check off every requirement u had with this car. I have the titanium version, and the interior is so nice and modern, I love it. All the safety add ons are very nice also. The transmission is a little weird, but it is a 4cylinder so its to be expected in my opinion. Has very good gas mileage. Doesn't have much room to put my phone or other things while driving, but has a roomy glove box so it works out for me. Overall I love this car

Reliable Car for Everyday Commute

This car has everything you need for an everyday commute. The price of the car is appropriate for the value. It can comfortably sit up to 3 passengers. The technology is a little outdated - it still has a CD player and an AUX cord. There is no bluetooth. There is plenty of room in the trunk.
