2013 Ford Focus consumer reviews

So far so good but I have to put it in the shop for a clutch replacement. After the work I think I'll be satisfied.

This is the first newer car I've purchased. Initially with 16000 miles it was a good deal. ..however before 20000 miles a window regulator went bad then a rear door mechanism went bad before a recall was issued for all four doors and the hatch. As I approached the 36000 mile mark the CD which I never used didn't work. That progressed towards a total radio and dash meltdown which Ford Motor company obviously knows about. If you are like me and don't like wasting your money buy an older vehicle with time test value and reliability. New vehicles have been plagued with engineering flaws and mishaps. ..Ford focus is no exception

Great car, even better MPG. All kinds of toys, too much techno stuff for my challenged self. Great car! Ton of fun to drive and a surprising amount of room.

My car has been in the shop 5 times for the same parts going out. The transmission clutch and the transmission module. Ford needs to recall the entire car? I have contacted the ford company several times and they tell me their is nothing that they can do about it! When is this going to be enough? How many times do my car need to go into the shop to have the same part replaced? Replacing it just to continue to have the same issues over and over again! To have customers who have this car and it not be a reliable car is insane. I'm going to appeal to the news media to see if Ford will help its customers instead of have us continue to go through this process. Ford knows this will continue to happen and is not doing anything to help anyone who has this car. I'm going to start a Ford Car recall issues on Facebook and see just how many people are having the same issues as I am. We deserve to have a good reliable car and the 2013 Ford Focus is not it!

I have owned Ford vehicles most of my life and have never had as many issues as I have had with my 2013 focus.I started to have transmission issues 2 weeks after I bought it. Yes Ford extended the warranty on the transmission but that doesn't help the fact I am left without a car while I constantly take it in for the same issues. I am a single mom with only 1 vehicle and since I live in a very rural area there isn't a public transportation option. I have had the transmission "flashed" more times than I can count. They finally replaced my clutch and the car was alright for a couple months. I then started having clutch shudder issues again. Every time I take it to the dealership they say they can't duplicate the issue and tell me to just drive it till it gets worse, and this has been more than once. Two weeks ago while doing 70mph on the highway my check engine light came on and the car would no longer shift. I took it in and they told me it was my transmission control module which they disconnected and reconnected as their "fix". A couple days later the clutch shudder was back and the car did not shift correctly. This morning my car would not reverse and was stuck in 1st gear so back to the dealer it goes. I love the exterior and interior of this car along with the gas mileage but that is where it ends. I fully plan on getting rid of this car as soon as I am able to and although I have always liked Ford as a company may have to go to a different one for my next car purchase.

This car is fun to drive when it works. Seats arent very comfy, decent leg room and trunk space. My automatic transmission went out 6 times. Thank goodness for the extended warranty.

This vehicle has a dual clutch transmission. It makes ghastly grinding and clunking noises. Sometimes it does alot of bucking when you step on the gas from a start. I dont like the car but the only way to get a new one is to kill this one and I have tried very hard after 100000 miles it is still running and better than ever. I floor this car whenever I get the chance I beat it up every day on a nasty commute in southern ny. It won't die I can't kill it.

I love this car! This is the most economical luxury vehicle I've ever owned it runs perfect and I'm glad I purchased it. Money well spent!

This car was great at the beginning ..Then 20,000 km into started to buck on acceleration continued change it ..Now not under warranty no one will exchange it or I will have to pay 1600 plus for fixing..DONT BUY IT...

We just bought this used car in excellent condition. So far it?s been great. Runs like a top, drives well, and has cold-blowing ac in the midst of a very hot Texas summer. Love this car.
