Best new car I've ever bought

My Focus hatchback with manual transmission does everything I need it to do, with sporty flair and economy. I get comments about the car often, and an proud to drive an American-made compact.

Transmission sucks!

Bought this car to replace the 2008 Focus that I owned with 210,000 miles on it. I?ve owned this car for a year and the clutch has been replaced once since I bought it, and it is acting up again. I should have handed them the keys back when I had the first problem. I will not but another automatic transmission Ford anytime soon.

Great little hatchback, amazing mileage

This car did all that I required of it, daily driver and occasional small truck of sorts. Always started in the dead of winter, and great gas mileage. If you need an economy hatchback I would recommend a focus to a friend.

Lemon Car

Simply put, the manuals are good. This car is a lemon otherwise. You should expect a new transmission every 1-1.5 years. There are tips online how to preserve the life of your powershift dual clutch transmission, but in the end it will jam up or go bad leaving you with a $2300 clutch/seal replacement. Staying away from Ford for a while.

Very poor product

I think this vehicle is a big pile of garbage I only have 28 thousand miles on it and my rims started to peel the vehicle was outside of the factory warranty and Ford was not willing to do anything will never buy a Ford product again it will make sure that everybody knows how poor Ford customer service is I will go back to buying my GM products at least GM cares about their customers

Ford Focus is a terrible car!

Didn't have this car no more than 2 years and the warranty had already expired. Ford would not honor their problem and reimburse me the cost of repairing a bad transmission that Ford was responsible for building on this car! I had to take on the $8,000 debt!

Chronic Clutch Failures

Everything except the DCT (Dual Clucth Transmission) is good with this model. City driving wears them down to the point of constantly shuddering in as little as 7000 miles. Ford has issued an extended warranty of the TCM (Transmission Control Module), but not of the parts it damages. This is a DO NOT BUY recommendation.
