sporty and fun daily driver
The Focus ST is great because it doesn't take itself too seriously, Ford built this car to be a practical DD but it quickly becomes very fun when you start to push in to the performance a bit. It is by no means a fast car, but it makes up for this deficit with its feeling of speed. It has a great surge of bottom end torque along with a sense that all it wants to do is tear down tight-twisting roads. Overall, it is a pleasure to own.

First time to own a Ford
I have always had a Honda or Toyota ... So we will see if Ford lives up to it standers of quality of work. I hope it will last as long as the 2 others ... hard to beat a Honda or Toyota knowing that at 200k you still have a pretty good car

Safety issue
So I recently went to replace my rear brakes and rotors. The lug nuts were rounded down so none of the sockets we had (pretty sure my dad owns every tool) fit. I had to take it into the dealership to replace a couple parts covered under the warranty and asked if they would replace all the lug nuts since they don?t fit correctly. The gentleman informed me that they are the correct size but after a year or two of driving in the ever changing weather of Ohio the lug nuts start to swell and the tool that came with the car won?t fit correctly. This is not covered under the warranty and I just have to buy all new lug nuts. I have to pay for a part that came on the car and is only 3 years old! A part that Ford knows will go bad! How can they not replace that!? The dealership just rounded the lug nuts off and ground them down to get them off and back on the last couple times I got my tires changed. How can you get them on tight enough if the tool doesn?t fit properly!?

Super sweet car!
I loved this car! I miss driving it cause it was a manual and had a lot of power to it. Very comfortable and fun to cruise around it. I got rid of because I am a car junkie and can't go 8 months without having a new car.

So frustrating.
I've had two transmissions put in that were thankfully covered under warranty. Now the purge valve has caused the fuel tank to collapse. This is a repair costing nearly $2000. My car has 58,000 miles on it. I've driven other cars over 150,000 miles and NEVER had such a costly repair.

So much fun to drive again.
Drive one and you'll know. Fast when you want to and handles terrific. I was surprised at how solid the doors and suspension felt on every road.

Fun very capable car
If you?re looking for a fun yet practical car then look no further. The focus st is an absolute blast to drive. Compared to some of its competitors like the wrx, gti or speed 3 the st has character. It hugs corners tightly but can and will throw the back end out if you want it to which is weird being a fwd. The torque is what makes this car. All the torque is low in the rpm range, you?ll make peak torque around 3500 rpm. And that low end torque is what?ll surprise a lot of other vehicles on the road. However it has a baby turbo, and that turbo basically flatlines and dies before redline, essentially becoming just a 4 cylinder non turbo as the boost tapers down towards redline. It is what it is, but it?s completely liveable. Where this car shines its aftermarket tunability. Buy one, modify it, tune it and you?ll love every second of this torque steering monster

A Most Excellent Car!
I have had this for car for over a year now and have had no issues with it. 34,000 on the ODO and it still runs like it did when i picked it up at 17,000 miles. If you enjoy performance like I do then this car is actually a great deal. Ford has many approved parts that wont void your warranty that you can add to the car to increase performance. I am tall at 6'5" and find the leg room is just fine up front. I have the full leather seats as part of the ST3 package and while some find them uncomfortable, I drove from Ohio to Colorado with no problems clocking 13 hours of driving on day 1. My teenage son did not find the back seat uncomfortable for the haul either, i saw this as a good sign. Overall I love the car and would consider buying another of the same if I had to.
