2006 Ford Fusion consumer reviews

Plastic door knobs that break easy. Keep replacing them. Have to roll down window to get out. Air conditioner stinks. Lots of recalls. Poor made car.

Bought my 2006 Ford Fusion SE with the 2.3 four cylinder, five speed automatic new March of 2006. Not a Ford guy, but liked the look and fuel economy rating of the Fusion. 13 years later have 205,000 miles on car still drives as new. Drives quiet and tight. Oil changed every 5000 miles. Only repairs were right wheel bearing, turn signal controller. Have been in two no fault accidents. Both times insurance totaled vehicle because of miles. No injury to me or passenger. Such a great car, had repaired, inspected and returned to duty. No leaks, no rust (live in rust belt), and still getting over 30 miles per gallon (freeway). Best car I have ever owned.

The car drives extremely smooth and is very reliable. The interior is kept very clean as well. Overall great condition and is ready to drive!

This car would have met all of my needs if it wasn't clear and apparent that the transmissions are infamous for failing- Yet after thousands and thousands of consumer complaints to FORD they continue to install these third world cheap faulty knock offs in their product- Ford didn't make themselves, their consumers made and continue to make them.. Ford truely does stand for Found On Road Dead... I finally get that old saying and Ford legit earned it... Stupid recalls on second rate floor mats and the two other ridiculous recalls that have zero to do with performance or safety issues as the transmission does.. yet no recalls on those issues because it might cost FORD a little chump change to keep the consumers who made them safe and broke - I've been strictly a Honda consumer for the 31 years I've been driving and I stepped out of my perfect vehicle comfort zone to give FORD a chance - It cost me 4800.00 and lasted less than six months... Your welcome for my business and thank you for reminding me that I'm a proud Honda consumer for life...

One of the best Fords I've ever owned. Only 2 complaints I have are the rocker panels rust out quickly and can be hard to start at times in colder climates, but a quick and simple MAF sensor change fixed that. For being a bigger V6 I wasn't expecting the greatest mileage, but getting 24 mpg in city guess I can't complain. That's the same as wife gets on her 1.4 liter Chevy Cruze. Plenty of power, step on gas and you're gone. I've raced a couple V8s and gave them a good run for their money

This car meets my needs for reliability and space. Midsize sedans are always great cars to own. It is a great car and runs great.

This was my first car and i barely knew how to manage it but this car is very durable and i have a lot of faith in this car

It is a good car , good engine , nice interior and good performance , I rreally like that car for that price , rreally impresed!

Tired of waiting for airbag that has been recalled; we've waited more than 2 years and still see no replacement. We cannot both sit up front and I am tired of sitting in the back seat every time we want to go anywhere. We cannot take anyone with us either.
