2006 Ford Fusion consumer reviews

This is the best car I have ever owned!! The comfort, handeling, power..... I am extreamly pleased with the overall performance of my Fusion. However there is one complaint... I am a very short person 5"1 and even with the adjustable height seat I cannot clearly see over the rear brake light.

I have sold cars, owned over 25, traveled the world..and never found a vehicle I liked as much as my new Fusion. Just superb and everything I could ask for in a new car. I cannot believe more people don't realize what a great car this is and I hope they sell millions.

The Fusion is incredible at everything, it drives geat, rides great, looks great. tons of power, great price. what else can you ask for

I've owned this car for 34 days now and it is everything I thought it would be.Always get stares and or compliments on the looks of this car.At this review period my avg. feul economy is 25-28mpg.(90%city driving)Plus the price I paid out the door w/3yr. maint. pkg.(free oil changes@tire rotations every 3K)$17088!!!Unbelievable.........VALUE......

At this short time of my ownership,I have throughly enjoyed every moment I've driven this car!!.Really cool styling and so far excellent feul economy.Ford has a winner with this one!.

i believe the vehicle now only news a how powerful v6 perhaps the 3.5 duratec engine and AWD and then it will easily out sell any other mid sized sedan. Ford also should have the SVT team make a high performance model of this vehilce...it would sell

We test drove two of these vehicles before purchasing. Very luxurious for the price. This vehicle has a lot of options including heated seats. Drives smooth and quiet. Have noticed others admiring it.

We test drove and purchased a 2006 Fusion last weekend. We felt that the 2.3 I4 engine has acceptable performance capabilities, but superior economy. When coupled with the 5 speed automatic transmission, it was able to hold a realtively stable speed while climbing the Mount Rose highway south of Reno. In fact, it was able to gain speed when desired during the climb. The transmission has one short coming; it only has two gear selections, L & D. This presents a problem when descending mountain roads in as much as it somewhat limits using the engine and transmission for braking. Having and additional gear selection would improve this tremendously.

WE'VE HAD A HONDA ACCORD AND WE TEST DROVE A CAMRY AND I CAN TELL YOU THE FUSION IS IN A WHOLE NEW CLASS THIS CAR IS GREAT.

cons When I am driving on the freeway its feels loose like it is fishtailing very subtley, but enough that i can feel it and i slow down to make this feeling go away because it feels unsafe. The alarm is extremely sensitive, if i push my key button twice it honks and alrams itself but it will set itself off intermittenly as well. If the panic button is pushed you have to actually insert the key and turn on the ignition to disable the panic mode. The cd player is a 6 disc changer but it rejects brand spanking new cds sometimes. pros The vehicle has plenty and plenty of storage space not just for my son's stroller in the trunk but inside as well. For example the dash mounted storage console. I love it. The stereo system is tremedous. The 6spd trans kicks in very well when needed. I love the "advanced airbags technology" and the fact that i can turn off the annoying seatbelt chime.
