2013 Ford Fusion Titanium

We bought this car in 2014 with 20,000 miles as a Ford Certified pre owned vehicle. So far, the driver side door handle had to be replaced because it would not unlock or lock when touched, the evap purge solenoid valve had to be replaced which kept causing the car to stall and die. The drivers side ball joint had to be replaced. Now, the transmission has went out at 70,000 miles with no warning. This car creeks and rattles inside which drives me nuts. We owned a 2006 Ford Fusion SE that we put 144,000 miles on with very little issues. This car has been a disappointment for sure.

You Get What You Pay For

I guess they chose this car to cut corners on because the interior is much to be desired. It is made so cheaply that the plastic around the seat belt has popped off. The seat belt is uncomfortable goes across the neck and not chest. I've tried to adjust it and it won't work. Even my passengers complain about the restricting seat belt. There was a recent recall, so maybe it will be fixed. Another cutback must have been on the defrosting mechanics because my windows are always frosty and it takes a long time to defrost. You cannot turn it off while driving or your windows will fog up quickly and it will take a while for them to defrost. Look at the Fusions in parking lots and on the road and we are the only cars with frosted windows. Its so annoying and hazardous. Plus it is a scary blind spot on the driver's side of the vehicle. The seats are kind of like race car seats so they are uncomfortable if you have a larger frame. I'm tall and I've had so many back pains folding in and out of this car because it sits kind of low and the construction of the seat. The heating option on the seats don't extend around the perimeter where the legs rest. Warm bottom, cold thighs. The speaker volumes are basic. You can talk over the highest volume level. This would be a great rental car while on vacation or business but not buy in my opinion. It was a great price, but 1.5 years of owning and I'm strongly considering buying something else.

Do Not Buy

I've had the car for 3 years. It's not a very comfortable car to travel in. the seats are hard and very cramp. As far as reliability the car is in the shop more than expected. Current problem is with one of the micro processors in the car. It's been 4 weeks and they still don't have the part.....very frustrating.

2013 Ford fusion

I bought my Fusion just 4 months ago! Worst car I ever had! My tires keep going flat. This car needs suspension work....the transmission is shifting hard...I had to get the door latches replaced for recall purposes and now my radio is completely out! My screen is black only displays a time and date! Ford dealership charged me $100 to diagnosis the issue and then called to tell me I needed a whole new radio which cost $480......so that's a total of $580 for a radio on top of my car note!!! I am extremely disappointed in Ford and I will never purchase another Ford car again.

Research the issues with this car

I bought a brand new SE in 2013 for commuting. The first year it was great. Going into the second year with only 15k miles shifting issues occurred. When I accelerated the engine would hold in a gear and then skip to the next gear. Took it in under warranty worried it was a transmission issue and the mechanics could never figure out what was wrong. My check engine light came on at 25k and I was told it was a sensor and it was reset. Between now and when I bought the car it's been in the shop at least 3-5 times a year either for parts falling off inside the vehicle or for engine shifting issues. The most recent issue occurred when the car died on me with the check engine light on again. Apparently the battery was bad after a short 3 years. My wife's 2006 Toyota has been more reliable than this bad decision of a car. Her Toyota is close to 200k miles and sees the mechanic less than my Ford. This car may look great, but buyer beware if you're looking for something that will be easy to maintain and last.

Great Power and Looks....BUT

I have had Ford products for 23 years with great luck. The 2013 Ford Fusion gets almost the MPG is claims. Very good power and looks great, but it has the worst seats I have ever sat on. Too low and a terrible angle, making it difficult to judge where I am when I park. Really, my only complaint is the bucket seats, They need to be higher and have a lumbar support. Do not take this car on a long ride (50 miles or more) It will be a painful experience that gets more so with every passing mile if you have any type of back or hip or leg problems. I drove 200+ miles and felt I was really stretching for the pedals after the first 30.and was in real pain long before I got home. I am going to look at other cars. May have to trade this one in. I have adjusted the seat over and over, but the plain fact it that is it not a seat meant to be sat on for more than short distances. I have had it for several months and this was the first time I took it for a long drive. Have had a pillow to raise me up a little more for many months, It helped some but not quite enough and not at all in the lumbar region. The same problem exists in the front passenger seat. Don't know about the back seats.

2nd Vehicle from Port Richey Ford

My experience at Ford of Port Richey my Salesman Ness was very patient and helped us find the perfect vehicle for us. I had intended to just purchase one Vehicle for my sister but ended up buying one for myself as well. A 2013 Ford Fusion 4cyl Dual Turbo. I am very happy with the car, it is comfortable and has the Sport feel I was looking for. Over all my experience with the dealership was the best I have had. I did not feel rushed or pressured to make a decision and get out. Like I usually have had at most dealerships I have attempted to buy a vehicle at. Thank you, Ness and Ford of Port Richey

Loving my Fusion

So im going on week three with my fusion and i am still loving it. Lets start with the pluses The styling of the car almost head turning i mean take off all the ford emblems and the front of the car looks like an Aston Martin. I was really surprised on how well this thing handles never once does it forget its a family sedan but that being said it has great handling and takes corners very nicely and the steering is nicely weighted and responsive. Now mine only has the 2.5 and while its not going to throw you back into your seat. For a base 4 cyl. Compared to my old Chrysler 200 this engine is far more refined and alot quieter. I wish it had one of the ecoboost engines but im happy none the less.

2.5 IS A NOISY ENGINE. REST OF CAR IS GREAT.

Bought car new in 2013 with a 2.5 engine.Three different dealers have told me it is a normally noisy engine due to the injection system. I AM wondering if there is a noise shield for this engine as the noise is very, very annoying.Other people with the same engine feel the same way.I believe as others do Ford should offer a way to cut this engine noise which would make this auto one of the finest they have ever built.

No New England Car

3 years and 3 ruined tires and 1 ruined rim. It goes nice and clean in the snow but you have to plan ahead to stop it. I never liked the transmission slow down the car on hills. I don't need a Jake Brake I can use the pedal. Giant touch screen makes me turn on heat when I'm trying to change radio stations. Tire pressure sensors go off about once a month. When you wreck a tire hitting a pothole it takes 2 weeks to get another odd-ball size 19" tire. This is a difficult car and I've owned a Jaguar and 2 Fiats so I know car adversity. 2013 Titanium is gone soon.
