GT California Special Looks Rather Sharp

Bought car last month (New 2017 Leftover). 1,000 mile Break-in period finally concluded. Acceleration, Stability, and Braking are all excellent, but reliability can't be determined as of yet. Exhaust Note rates 7/10 since everything is still stock!

A cross between a 'Sports' car and 'Muscle' car.

It may seem extremely difficult to pick an American sports car. I mean, we currently have such great options between the Challenger, Camaro, and Mustang, right? In terms of straight line performance, all of these are great choices with the 2017 Mustang GT falling every so slightly behind a Scat-pack Challenger and 2SS Camaro. But, where the GT exceeds it peers is in it's practicality. A more refined, tech-savy interior; lighter frame and better aero increases fuel economy (I get 30mpg @ 70-75mph cruise control in 6th gear); head-room and visibility which give a comfortable feeling driving this car to work everyday. The exterior is difficult to comment on simply because that is very subjective. What I can say is, this Mustang GT model crosses the line into Sports car territory and looks like it belongs on the German Autobahn just as much as the American interstates. Only complaint would be the transmission. It feels somewhat clunky on shifts, but is easily fixed with some aftermarket add-ons. Reliability of the car has been perfect over 45k miles. Best part of this vehicle for me is the Coyote 5.0 V8. It feels responsive and loves to rev high into the RPM band. And the sound is extremely hard to beat. So yes, I would absolutely recommend this vehicle to others as I will be enjoying mine for a long time. Every morning commute is a blast with this vehicle.

Great car that looks sharp and catches your eye!

My perfect extra fancy car. It?s a convertible and I love to take out, let the top down and cruise down the road with the wind in my hair. It?s a beautiful metallic blue.

Nice bang for the buck, but Sync sytem sucks

Good car, it was between this and the Camaro. The interior and gadgets on the Camaro are much nicer, but the tiny windows on the Camaro pushed me toward the Mustang. I know they put the new transmission in the 2018's and that is what is the most lacking with the 15-17. Sync system is hard to use and takes 2-3 times almost everytime I go to connect by phone to the bluetooth system. It has other electronic "bugs" as well that are annoying.

Best sports car In this segment

It's an amazing car. It doesn't just ride it floats. The leg room on the front is just perfect. Surprisingly it's also cheap on gas and isn't very high maintenance.

Most fun car you will ever own.

You buy a mustang for enjoyment. You can be 16 again when you get behind the wheel. Great performance and really good gas mileage. Enough room for the important thins like golf clubs!!

435hp daily driver

The 2017 Mustang GT combines sleek and sinister exterior styling, a comfortable and clean interior, custom driver settings, and high power performance for the ultimate daily driver experience. The redesigned interior is far superior to previous models of mustangs, with better style and quality, and cup holders that allow you to have a cup and drive at the same time (any s197 owner can attest to the impossible design of cup holders in older mustangs). As always, Ford kept their engineering consistent and simple, making it a super easy car to work on for maintenance or bolt-on upgrades. The biggest drawback is the factory tires, which have terrible wet traction, but these are easy enough to replace and should not sway you from investing in the car itself. Just know that you?ll want to swap the factory rubber after 20k miles tops if you live anywhere that has a rainy season. As far as tech is concerned, Ford Sync systems are very user friendly and simple to set up, with excellent sound quality and easy to use hands-free controls for your phone.
