An F-minus for dependability

My husband and I bought this truck so we could tow a 2700lb fiberglass 5th wheel. We were on our way across country to pick up our new 5th wheel...truck had only 900 miles on it when the powertrain light and engine malfunction lights came on. We weren't even towing anything yet! We bought a complete 100k mike bumper to bumper warranty and roadside assistance which was no good. We broke down just past the mojave dessert and the nearest Ford dealer was 63 miles away. They only pay for a tow up to 50 miles. So thank God for AAA! Because our truck bed was loaded with stuff, we couldn't leave it and had to spend the night in it in the Ford dealer parking lot. Me, my husband and our 20 lb Cairn terrier. Talk about a miserable night. Those seats are like sleeping on a draconian torture bed! As of this moment, we are camped out on a Ford dealer couch in diagnostic purgatory, waiting for an outcome instead of being on the road. A brand new $40k truck should not break down like this. Buyer's remorse is an understatement at this point. If you are thinking about buying a Ranger and need a dependable truck, THINK TWICE.TO BE CONTINUED....

LOVE my Ranger!

I wanted the new style Ford Ranger 4 x 4 in a specific color when I purchased it last year (I'm not picky am I?). I loved all the features, so I knew exactly what I wanted. The technology is first rate, and my favorite feature are the cameras on all sides and the automatic bright light dimmer!

Great truck used to own a 86 ranger

Plenty of leg room. Brought to tow behind my motor room. The bed will have great storage. Back seats have plenty of leg room for adults

Great Truck.

I have owned this truck for a couple of months and I really love it. It drives great and has plenty of power. The back up camera is so sharp I can back the trailer ball right under the hitch the first try. The only complaint I have is the ride height. I have to slide in and out of the front seat and I am sure the seat upholstery will wear quickly.

I enjoy it

I purchased my Ranger and fell in love with it. After driving it for about 8mths there are some small details I noticed. For example, I wish the backseat had more leg room. I also wish the back seating had AC ability. This is the reason I gave 3stars for comfort. I live in Texas and on hot days you need AC everywhere. The bed of the truck is small. I tried loading two bikes and had an issue. I feel the truck has low quality paint. I drove a different truck before this one and the paint from the bed didnt scratch easily. But on my Ranger One small touch and the paint comes off quickly. Eventually I will have to get the bed sprayed for protection.
