The Taurus

This car became a staple in our family. Great for hauling the skis, golf clubs, kite surfing gear etc. I bought one after I saw how good it was for my folks. It's just a little gem. I'm surprised that some people found the interior weird. I think the whole flip flip centre console is a really good use of space. Fold down rear seats is an enhancing feature. I will never get anything other than a station wagon ever again. As a single guy, they're awesome for hauling any toys you could want.

210,000 Miles and still going strong!

I am a college student and the second owner of the vehicle. It is a great car. It is big enough to haul all of my stuff, the vehicle is very reliable. I have put alot of miles on it and the only maintenance needed was a new alternator and an oil change every 3K miles. I drive 25 miles to work each day and am getting 26 mpg.

Great value for the money

Just sold it to my daughter and son-in-law. Fun to drive. Had the 24valve V6 and plenty of power. Tuned exhaust sounds good. Ride was comfortable, but stiff enough to feel in control. This is the SE with adjustable driver seat and plenty more. Only problem was the A/C. Replaced parts of it twice. Ive changed oil at 5K and at 150,000miles it burns a quart between changes - started that only last year.

inexpencive , reliable used car

I bought my '99 Taurus back in May '04 and do not regret it at all. The car has been very good to my family and has my full trust. I would jump in it and go anywhere at any time. I dont know why the Taurus has a bad rep but take it from me this is a good car! I will have mine for years! The good and bad part of this car is that you can get the car at a great price-but; when your ready to sell it you may not like what you get for it!

Decent car

The Taurus is comfortable, affordable, decently reliable and inexpensive to repair. Some people think it is ugly, but it is a very safe vehicle none the less. My Taurus averages 22mpg in city driving with the a/c on, and drives great in inclimate (Buffalo) weather. Not bad

Very Reliable Car

Purchased this car w/ 12,000. Didn't have to make any repairs other than routine maintenance until after 100,000 miles and those repairs have been minor. Engine and Trans. still working great.

Really Comfortable Vehicle

This is one of the most comfortable cars I have ever driven. Its design and performance is also great, along with great miles per gallon.
