Might be the last car I ever buy!
I was a Senior Inspector in Quality Control at NASA for electrical cables. When I inspected a cable, I went into what I called my "Inspection Mode" and viewed the cable with my "Inspector Eyes". That meant I was 100% focused on looking at a cable to see anything - anything at all - that might cause a failure in the electrical system. It could be a tiny nick, an indentation, an exposed copper wire, a tiny cut deep in in the bundle of wires. Any of these anomalies could appear harmless, but could fail under extremes of heat, cold, vibration, radiation, twisting, or any other operation of the craft. My biggest fear always came from the smallest defect. Why? Because I could easily see a big defect. An exposed copper wire where the insulation was cut is always obvious. The solution was either to scrap the entire cable or re-work it back to within specs. We're talking about cable bundles with up to a hundred wires wrapped in a bundle with plastic wire ties. It then behaved as if it were one solid cable, moving as a unit rather than acting like individual wires. These cables were destined for installation in space vehicles, naval ships, nuclear missiles, manned vehicles, etc. I seldom knew the final product. I did know, however that these cables easily cost $50,000 each. Without my approval stamp they were worth nothing. So I think I'm pretty reliable when it comes to telling quality work from junk. My 2005 Honda Accord is quality work. It's not perfect, but it's not junk by any stretch of the imagination (note: I'm considering price. Sure, the exhaust could be made of all stainless steel, but it's not. You must figure in price/performance, not just performance). I expect it to the be last new car I ever buy, according to 'actuarial tables]. If repair costs go too high, it will pay me to get a newer, less trouble-prone car. In summary, I recommend it - if it was well maintained. Honda did a good job when they designed and built this car. That's my opinion based on my background. Thanks, Honda.

Loved this car, style, performance, reliability.
The 2005 Accord EX V6 Coupe was the first Honda I owned. I had it from March of 2005 to May of 2019. This car never let me down from a reliability point of view. Style and performce continued to surprise people that rode with me ("This is a 2005!!??"). It was very reasonably priced when I bought it new. I've just bought a new 2019 Accord as evidence how much I like this make/model (and still reasonably priced vs. all the SUV over-pricing that's out there).

It has had a few problems but I love to drive it
I love the car but feel Honda has cheated me out of some recalls stating my VIN was not in the recall BUT my car was doing exactly what the recall was for.??

Fast and reliable sedan: it's the perfect daily
I bought a 2005 Honda Accord in 2019 with 18000 miles (European miles). Overall condition very good, it's an executive model with the 2.4, 190 HP and sunroof. Feels like I'm traveling in a new car, it's so quite, smooth and with awesome acceleration and handing. Yet I really feel the road beneath me, which is not the case today with some modern cars. A little rust is starting to show up here and there, but I wouldn't expect anything else in a nordic climate and on a 14 year old vehicle. The trunk is big enough for a road trip but for carrying a bike it's not enough. Backseat is comfortable and really spacy. In my opinion a mid-size sedan like this is the ultimate daily drive. Never feels clumsy, not even in the city, and still feels luxury and with long enough wheel base to feel like you're cruising on the highway even though your doing 140 km/h. The only thing making this car feel obsolete or retro depending on your general outlook on life, is the infotainment system. Yes, it's from 2005. Mine has a built in CD changer that handles up to five CDs. Still working like a dream.

I bought the car new and drove it for 13 years. I could not have made a better purchase. As a result, I just purchased a 2019 Honda Accord.
