Best car purchase I have ever made

This car is reliable, gets good gas mileage, and was in great condition when I bought it. Took it to a mechanic and they said everything is perfect as it is.

Not a Car for College Students

Purchased this vehicle as a car to drive back and forth to college in. Didn't even get it home before I found out it has numerous problems and the guy who sold it to me completely ripped me off.

The 4cyl EX is one you want. 6cyl. kills trannies.

Even after 184,000mi the engine doesn't need more than a 1/2 qt every 6,000mi. One thing to be aware of is there are a few achilles heals inherent in the 2003-2007 platform. 2005-2007 are the only models you really want and you want the 4 Cyl. if you don't want the V6s torque killing your transmissions (even if there's been some improvement in that area, zero issue with the 4 cyl.) As for the common flaws, the lower control arm bushings go and if you ride with the noise to long you are looking at new axles, especially seals (if your weren't already) which basically involves replacing wheel bearings, ball joints, CV joints! We even replaced rubber grommets on Front Stabilizer bar (perhaps unnecessarily). MAKE SURE you replace the rotor dust covers BEFORE the wheel bearings are installed b/c you'll have to cut and tack weld into place if you forget or cheapen out and trust me they'll flake into dust by 175K, so do them while in there. In addition you'll likely hear ANOTHER squeaking noise that you THOUGHT was just the common lower control arm bushings, but save yourself the aggravation and realize it's the front passenger strut (usually) "twisting" and time to change front pair, which THEN usually comes with torching off a rusted bolt if you waited until 173K like us! Another issue is the ABS light and mysterious rear E Brake light which ironically WASN'T on during the full $2000 front end work, but both on afterwards. Many think it's common wheel speed sensor, but they might need one or two replaced from cracks, but it doesn't fix. Then you take it to Honda and they'll try and tell you it's a $1400 ABS Modulator (read numerous similar stories inHonda threads) which my mechanic and his $3000 Snap on Tools diagnostic computer equipment was able to manually open and close all valves in the modular and prove Honda is trying to take customers for a ride (it's the degrading wiring harness and its 40 wires which have lost a ground and becomes a brutally slow process for tracing them without Honda's proprietary brake codes and brake programing (and brake diag equipment as well). Rear Caliper seized around 180K and likely should considered replacing set out rebuild after 175K and get meaty front rotors b/c the rear brakes tend to slowly fail first on this car even with improvements as well! That slow failure puts more braking and more HEAT on the front and can ruin/warp practically new rotors, we are proof of that. Side note there is an AUX out on stock 6 disc changer head unit and suggest getting BT transmitter and receiver b/c expensive to do an updated hands free unit without leaving old head unit and putting single DIN unit below which WORKS, but I feel unsightly vs. getting to run AUX cable below in cubby and then use cell as your stereo. Just make sure BT has a transmitter and receiver with MIC for calls or "Hey Siri, open Amazon Music" or "Hey Siri, text ______"

Zero Maintenance

You barely need to change the oil in this car, its amazing, bought it new and drove it for 12 years before I bought a new honda mostly because it looked dated and didn't have bluetooth. Nothing broke during 200k miles, basic maintenance (oil filters tires brakes) very well designed car.

Second time I?ve had this 2005

I purchased the V6 model and I?m in love even at 200k+ miles. Power steering is a little stiff and the struts maybe out but I think it?s due to the previous owners handling.

Most practical car

This is a well rounded car! Easily seats all my buddies, has a bunch of bells and whistles, is flexible enough to cover many of my home improvement projects, and is incredibly reliable! For the money you just can't beat the flexibility and practicality this car has to offer.

The car I?ve been waiting for

I?ve been looking for a comfy car with a 6 cylinder engine...and this one is it. It has a 3.0L V6, automatic transmission, dual-zone automatic climate controls and very comfy seats for all passengers.
