Good car until it wasn’t

I had the V6 Accord. For me it was a good car until about 100k and then everything started breaking down. I really enjoyed driving it until finally the whole front left axle broke while I was driving. Primarily I blame the mechanic because I knew it was making a noise and they told me nothing was wrong. Either way- I ended up junking the car because the repairs were way more than the car was even worth. Now I’ve moved on to a Kia Soul because I think it’s much cuter and cooler. But the accord was alright- I wouldn’t recommend buying a 2008 at this point though.

It's been a very reliable car for me.

I purchased my 2008 Accord LX-P in 2011 with 5,500 miles on the odo from someone I know. Just turned 143,000. My car has leather and alloy wheels. 21-22 mpg around town. 33-35 mpg highway on regular fuel. Normal repairs, oil chg, brakes, tires, batteries. I replaced the headliner and recent repair to ac. Not unusual for repairs in FL. A wonderful, practical car!

Oil usage

This car has used oil since the date purchased. Was using 1 qt between changes now after 5 years it's a qt every 700-800 miles. This is acceptable. The car I traded in was 15 years and never used oil. Next purchase will be another Chevrolet.

Most Reliable and last upto 250K

Why are Honda vehicles so highly regarded by American drivers? Certainly, their excellent reputation for reliability and quality is a major factor. But it also has to do with the overall driving and owning experience. Read any Honda review and you'll likely notice common themes such as thoughtful design, a friendly nature, better-than-average fuel economy and attention to safety.

Reliable & Stylish vehicle

This is a well built and reliable sedan. Stylish but still practical. My EX-L has amazing stereo system with Navi, Bluetooth, auxiliary for iPods/MP3. Is very comfortable and spacious. It has the peppier 190 hp engine and the spirited iVTEC engine. Bought this car used, and as long as one keeps with it's regular maintenance, this Accord can be an extremely reliable vehicle. I recommend this 👌 vehicle without hesitation. Sad that I have to sell 😭.
