Fast and great looking
Traded out of a 99 Eldorado V8 that took premium. Looked at Acura TL but, they require premium fuel. Accord Coupe EXL has nice look and V6 is powerful, takes regular unleaded. I added a K&N cold air intake and it is so worth it. Rated 283HP and it has power that is heart pounding. combined mpg is 23-24mpg. Handles well through curves and great stereo sound. Only complaint is the overall ride, feel every bump, 18" factory wheel with low profile tires, probably is a factor. I get compliments on the looks of the car all the time.

Owner of 2009 Honda Accord EX-L, 4 cylinder
I would like to share my experience with other people interested in the car. At first, I thought that a car as big as this generation Accord can not be a driver's car. To my pleasant surprise, its handling is very controllable and acceleration is very decent for a 4 cylinder car of this size and weight. Steering is very intuitive with good feedback and there is no need to make extra corrections as I found in some vehicles. The steering weight is just right, not too heavy nor is it light. I thought there would be reliability issues as many people stated problems with premature brake pads wearout. I've been driving the car for 1.5 years, have around 15000 miles and my brake pads are as good as new, no premature wearout whatsoever, and no any other problems. All in all, I am very pleased with my Accord. It meets, if not exceeds, all my expectations. Great driving behavior, good mileage and reliability.

Saved my Life
Got this car in Sept of 2009 new. Made several trips between TX and CA in addition to everyday travels. Loved the sleak exterior design and plenty of room inside for two large dogs, my husband and myself with plenty of storage for the long rides and easy to clean. Put 30,000 miles on it in one year and never had a single problem! Got into an accident last week in it, pulling out from a red light got hit in the front driver's side by a guy going 50mph. The front end was shifted 2 feet to the right, talk about a hard impact! My husband and I were able to get out of the car and walk away with no injuries. The resale value we got for the pay-out was more than to be expected. Needless to say we were very happy with this car in every way and look forward to purchasing a 2010 or 2011 accord here in the next week!

Where did Honda's Quality Go?
09 EX-L V6 In the past you bought a Honda because even the buttons on the radio would last forever. Are those days over? It appears Honda might have taken the road that another Japanese auto maker took. Making profit at the cost of Quality. On my car; at 15,000 the leather, or so they call it, starting fading and it looked like some other cheap material was underneath. At 20,000 miles the brakes had to be changed in the rear and the interior light panel was replaced. Now, at 30,000 miles, they are about to change the front pads and rotors. This has all been taken care of under warranty, but what happens after 36,000 miles. On a long trip, your ears will be ringing from road, wind and tire noise that comes into the interior. I think they just decided to eliminate any sound dampening materials during manufacturing. . Mechanically it appears to be Honda's bullet proof motor and trans. I would expect they haven't messed with that, YET. This is the 5th Honda vehicle I've owned. It might have to be my last. I just hope this doesn't trickle over to their Acura line.

Quality, reliable, and comfortable
I have an 2009 Honda Accord EX-L with 4 cylinder engine. For a 4-cyl, it has pretty good pickup. Gets me 27 MPG in mixed driving. The extras are worth it. The integrated navigation is easy to use, and Bluetooth eliminates the distraction of fumbling with your phone while driving. XM radio is fully built in and very convenient. The back seat is very comfortable for 2 adults, and the trunk holds at least 3 suitcases. The ride is comfortable, but the road noise is higher than you might expect. Things to improve: make the passenger seat power (the driver's is), and it should have rear seat air vents. Since I have all the bells and whistles, it eliminates some of the storage. Nice center console, but the glove box is quite small and the only cup holders in the back seat are in the center arm rest (and thus unusable if you have 3 in the back seat).

I just love it
It is my fourth Accord, and I always was happy with them. Now I have '09 LX-P and it seems to be little noisy on certain types of roads, but it's all because of the tires. I plan on driving it for a while. It is not a luxury car but it takes me wherever I need to with comfort and joy.

2009 Honda Accord LX Review
To start off, I really love the features in this car. I have fallen in love with the ipod connect and everything is so nicely laid out. I really like the interior design and there is ALOT of room for adults in the back. Now, it's not the best looking sedan out there, in my opinion the Altima is better looking, but it's NOT an ugly car. The handling on this car is great too as it's very responsive. The acceleration is fine for city driving but whenever I accelerate on the freeway to pass someone, there is about a 1 second delay before it starts to accelerate... but the mileage makes up for that. No problems with the brakes so far. Overall I'd recommend it as a good" family" sedan but if you're in the market for one I'd check out the Altima as it has better acceleration, better looks, andn similar features for about the same price. I just wish my parents looked at the Altima too... oh well

Rear Brakes
Like UConn Don i to had to replace my rear brake pads early. Mine had only 15000 miles. Honda said that they would pay up to $100 to fix the brakes if i put on more Honda brake pads. Then they said it would be $190 to fix them. why should Honda make buyers pay for brakes that are bad to begin with? This was the first and most likely the last Honda I will be buying. The letter Honda sent me said that this problem was occuring on 08, 09, and some 2010 models.
