Honda Accord EX/EX-L One of the Best Family Sedans
We have been buying Honda Accords since 1984, and we trade every 5-yrs with the exception of 1994. The 1993-1997 body-style was the only Accord I disliked. We have had at least one of every body-style w/ the above exception. We trade them mid-summer in years ending in 4 & 9. Most have been a EXL, but I think we had 2-EX trim types along the way. The current generation is by far Honda's nicest Accord yet, although there have been some great models over the years. We also drive a Acura SUV, the 2014 RDX, and plan to trade it the same as our Accords. Honda is the only auto manufacturer that has never had a financial loss corporately. The reliability, resale & solid craftsmanship is superior to most sedans built & sold in the US. Where else can you buy a EXL Accord, drive it for 5-yrs and trade for a brand new model for $10K or less. We will never have another sedan as our primary vehicle. We just wish Honda would add a cooled/heated front seat option as standard equipment on the EXL and up trim's. They will, as Acura does now in the 2015 TLX, so the Accord EXL is next.

Awesome car, even better saleman.
I went into Honda of Ft. Myers expecting to just look around. I left with a brand new 2014 Honda Accord all thanks to Simon Salinas. He was not only knowledgeable, but very courteious and kind. We can't be more thankful that he was the one to help us pick out our new car. The wife loves it!

Correction to previous Review
I had an issue with cars.com in rating the dealership for Prime Honda. The proper rating is five (5) stars. I had a wonderful experience at this dealership. The staff were great during the purchase of my 2014 Honda Accord. Prime Honda I'd a FIVE star dealership! :-) Thank you

The Sport Manual is a great value: B+
The direct injected four-cylinder that comes in the Sport is surprisingly quick when the car is lightly weighted. The 18" wheels improve half-g maneuvers without making it overly-bouncy; though when you push it hard into a corner, it's quick to remind you that it's a front wheel drive with perhaps a bit more understeer than you would expect; and as soon as the front wheels plow just a bit, the ESC shows that it's pretty aggressive. Fuel economy is very good for a car this size and the rear seat room is impressive. Every tank so far has shown an average of about 31 mpg, however when I check it against pen and paper, it's consistently around 29 mpg (so either random gas stations are conspiring to cheat me on fuel or the Accord's computer is overly-optimistic). The six-speed manual shifts flawlessly but 6th gear's ratio is far too short. I can accelerate in sixth at 20 mph but am turning 3k RPM at less than 80 mph. No wonder the manual is rated 2 mpg less than the CVT; the hypermiler will spend a lot of time coasting in neutral. The bluetooth interface is great for Pandora when it works about 75% of the time. The speedometer is nicely huge but you can't see the top of it where the highway speeds are if you have the steering wheel tilted downward. The driver's side mirror finally has a split bevel area like they have in Europe so you can see what's coming up in your blind spot; it takes a little getting used to but a very nice and inexpensive safety upgrade. The seats are more plush than the two previous generations, but the anti-whiplash headrest is so far forward that there's 4-5 inches of space behind my neck...what's up with that? #driverfatigue. Lastly, while it's nice having a rear-folding seat, why does the entire seat need to go down? The split-folding seat has been around and autos are supposed to evolve. If you have to haul a hockey stick or a fishing pole, this becomes a two passenger vehicle. Having said all of that, while the negatives deduct a few points for each, having a manual transmission provides enough extra credit to pull this car up to a pretty solid "B".

sporty
Purchased my third accord over years this time went with the coupe exl model. It is one good looking car and has a very comfortable leather interior. The car has great visibility to go along with typical Honda good handling of the road. After 11,000 miles I have averaged a little over 30 mph. I am very satisfied with my new accord.

NOT
I purchased new in August 2014. Test drove the car on local streets and did not notice any unusual noise level. However, after purchasing the car and driving over 50 MPH, extensive wind noise came through all 4 side windows. Of course, the person sitting right next to their side window can hear that window's noise the most, but I can hear the high noise level throughout the entire car. My initial complaint to the dealer was not taken seriously. Subsequently, just happenstance an opportunity to ride with the service manager who confirmed the noise through the window and admitted that this was about their 3rd similar complaint. The dealer verified that Honda Corp did not have any bulletins out on this problem. The dealer believed that the wind was getting through the rear window molding. The dealer graciously replaced and/or adjusted that molding. It appeared to have improved slightly, and since they did not know what else to do, I simply said it was fine. HOWEVER, the noise level is NOT fine - BE WARE. Also, when raining, I hear water droplets seemingly from inside the door or jam ? load droplets, and not the noise of the rain itself hitting the car. Although mentioned to the dealer ? not responsive, as if it does not exist. Additionally, upon a cold-start, the car immediately accelerates, even though I don't press the gas pedal. Although I don't warm up the engine, there shouldn't be the need to with fuel injection technology. I did not have any of these issues with my prior 4 Hondas, or with any make. Finally, although I thought the NON-SPLIT folding rear seat would not be a concern, it has become a major inconvenience - hockey sticks needing to go through from the trunk while having a rear child car seat. Also, I find that the cup holder in-between the seats are situated too far back ? making it awkward to place and grab a cup of coffee.

Less than average experience
Seats are not comfortable, exterior of the car is bulky compared to the interior, there for not easy to park in the city. A/C stopped working apparently a reoccurring problem with Honda Accord.
