Great small car!
Excellent value for the dollar; 30 mpg city, 40 mpg highway; good handling, adequate power; a little noisy; no problems at 40k.

Good car for the $$$$$
I purchased this vehicle mainly for it's good gas consumption VS. power, in that respect it meets all I asked for. Now as far as workmanship and materials are concerned, that's where the low price takes over. I have approx. 27,000 miles on this car, my driver seat is showing quite some wear. I had to replace the tires at 25,000 and I usually get about 50,000 mile on a set but the original Bridgestone Turaza tires were like riding on concrete so I'm glad I had to change them. I have a rattle on the back window ledge and a little thump from my exhaust to the body when the vehicle is cold. The dealer can't find either problem. With these little annoying items I still get great milage around 31 city and about 37 highway. I've looked at a 2008 Prius but I can't substantiate the $7,000 difference. I also have ford 500 which has 55,000 miles and only cost me $5,000 more this is a way under-rated vehicle in power and gas milage. This vehicle looks and rides like new, so there you go.

nice looking good price but with small defects
the driving experience and the looks of the car is great. I have the Honda civic ex in navy blue. the defects are,..I dont know if other driver noticed, If you open the window after some raining, the water will come into the window via the top frame of the window, then, when it snows you cannot opent he back trunk without sweep all the snow off otherwise part of the snow will fall from the gap of the trunk cover & the car (on top, not where u open it) then,,,my wiper was totally bad even though I purchased a brand new car. the wiper makes the font glasses very blurry after using but Honda will not replace them as defects, I had to purchase a new set

22 mpg city/37 mpg hwy
this car had a much higher mpg EPA rating for the city, where I do 98% of my driving. Have been very disappointed to get 21-22 mpg in the city. other owners of this model report the same. very low clearance, especially in the front.

I'll never buy a civic again.
I owned this car for a year and a half before trading it in last week. Over that year and half, I had several issues. First, I had to wait over a month for the car to come in because apparently they were in high demand...although after owning it, I can't see why. The first real problem I encountered was the visor on the driver's side. I like to have the visor down when I drive, but I soon discovered I would not be able to do that in this car. After owning it for a month, the sun heated the visor up and the glue holding it together melted. I had to go to the dealership and have them replace the visor. Would be ok, only honda didn't make the new visors any better and I had to replace it again. I eventually decided that I would have to discontinue using the visor if I didn't want to go to the dealership every month. Next problem...If you're short, it's a pain to be able to see your speed. If you own one, you might know what I mean. Next issue...the front windshield is enormous! I had 3 rocks hit it in the short time I owned the car. And after comparing the winshield size to other vehicles, I can see why. The handling wasn't great, and I sometimes felt like I was going to go off the road. The 2 door coupe has NO ROOM for even the driver. I am 5'1" 100lbs and even I felt squished. I'm glad so many people like this car, but I wish I still owned my '99 Civic, because it is far better than the '06 model.

The commercials are no Lie
Love my Civic! I gave it 4/5 for comfort and handling (I have a 2door). Handling because I am personally just not accustomed to a front-wheel drive car, as I haven't owned one in 7years. Steering is actually very tight and car hugs the road, which I think is a good thing. Also, it is hard to comfortably fit 4 average sized adults in the coupe. Plenty of leg room, but seats sit little strangely. Everyone compliments me on my civic, and I just absolutely love it! My friend even wants to get one now, but doesn't want to 'copy' me. There are so many aftermarket parts and ways to customize Civics, that I have no problem with anyone 'copying' me. My civic is a a reflection of my personality as I've already begun altering some exterior things. Gets great mileage and is very reliable. Haven't tried it in the snow yet, but this is the first car I've owned that I truly feel will be dependable on slick roads.

great value
After 25,000 miles, I am highly satisfied with the civic. It is comfortable, very economical (30 mpg around town) and handles well. For the money, it is tops.

Reliable with a poor ride
The mileage is great. The engine is quiet and the performance is good exhibiting a quiet interior area for engine and general road noise The civic handles OK on cornering, The ride is terrible with the small jabby bumps such as the concrete cracks and road imperfections.
