2006 Honda Civic consumer reviews

Honda civic si is one of the best gas saving sports car ever made.The horsepower is very great for a 4 cylinder car, one of the best. i have been a honda enthusiast for a long time. but one thing bother me when are they going to make a vtec turbo?????

Bought my Civic brand new 3 years ago. Great gas mileage, but handles terribly in the snow or rain. Frightening highway driving with car wandering side to side. Early tire wear (cupping). Car will hesitate or not start in cold weather and suspension squeaks and rattles. Interior plastic scratches easily. A bit overpriced, but good if you have a long daily commute and are concerned with gas mileage.

The car has great styling but handles very poorly. very bumpy harsh ride. I have had many recalls - i paid extra for Honda Quality what a joke. The dealer was to service the car every 7,500 miles at a large cost.

I bought this civic because i gave my 2000 model yr to my grandaughter. i have had nothing but trouble with this car the front suspension went on me (was a recall) and i got that fixed then after 1000 miles the suspension went again, i only have 14000 miles on the car. gas millage is good at 35 highway and about 22 city. my other complaint is that my 1.6L engine is coarse, itll stall and jerk when accelerating. i havent been satisfied with this car and i am currently thinking of trading it in for a different one. i dont know why this car gets such "great" reviews, its just a normal sub average car in my eyes.

I bought this car brand new when i was 18. i did a lot of research since this was my first major independent purchase. i tried volkswagen(expensive lemons), scion(cheap features, very plastic-ey), toyota, and ford. the civic has the most value for its class. it has a peppy 140 hp engine, all power, and a very cute sporty feel to it(i own a red EX coupe). i wouldn't trade it for anything else. i am going to drive this car until it dies because there is nothing else in its class that even comes close. the only problems i have had was that the visor warped in the sun, the a/c condenser had a faulty weld, and when i purchased the car my passenger side window's rubber stuck when trying to roll up/down. Honda replaced these no problem and quickly might i add. oh and having soo many airbags to protect me in case of an accident leaves me with a good feeling. thanks Honda. i will purchase another in the future.

i just got a honda civic it was use but so far is great i love it! it handles great, good breaks...if u want it for speed i dont recomended cause it takes the car a few seconds to hit 80mph. on gas is great!! about 42mpg. a geat car and u know hondas go forever.....

I like the speed odmeter location. It sit higher up then most other cars. I have a bad habit of speeding this design helps so I don't speed. It come standard with a great sound system. I love this car!!

I am getting over 40 mph, while using the AC, in combined city/highway driving. The car has had no problems and has about 40,000 miles. This is my first Honda and I'm impressed.

purchased the civic lx coupe, 5 sp manual two years ago. mileage is good, 32 city, 37 highway. one issue....the ride is very stiff. good for performance, not so good for ride. i am going to go to better and slightly larger tires to see if it helps soften the ride. came with turanza tires...wore out in 18,000 miles. going to replace with falken zie 912s

This is a great car - handling, gas mileage and looks - I'd buy another one if I was looking for another car.
