Bought New and have 297,000 miles
Had engine replaced when block cracked 170,000 miles(recall free) Driver Visor replaced (recall free)Air Bag needs replaced (recall free). Reliable but these are common problems that I had to pay for- Motor Mounts $250 each time(three) I think I need another replacement, Idler Pulley $500 each time (twice) needs replaced again. Unless garaged clear coat will peel off on roof and trunk and seen many others with the same problem. This car has lasted longer than the 1980 Toyota Corolla I bought new

Low cost, low stress, high miles
If you're looking for an extremely affordable commuter that will just keep growing on you, pull the trigger on a 08-11 Civic. With religious maitenence I've taken this car up to 198k without ANY equipment failure or unexpected costs. The brakes are small and build heat in mountain passes, and tires need to be upgraded for a nicer ride but those are really my only complaints after all these years. 38mpg on the highway will wipe away any of your misgivings every time you finish your $23 fill up at the gas station. Never once did I get in my car and have to worry about whether or not I'd get where I was headed. The steering is tight enough to have some fun with the car and it's filled with airbags! If you're a conscious consumer looking to make the most of your hard earned money, don't hesitate on a well maintained 8th generation Civic. I entrusted mine to my younger brother for his first car knowing he'd be safe in it.

Cracked Block issues on Honda Civics 2006 - 2009
Cracked Block issues on Honda Civics 2006 - 2009 Waste of Money! Apparently this is a well known issue to mechanics and dealerships, but I didn't know about it and ended up with a car that needed a new engine. if I had the money to buy a car and with an additional $4000.00 extra to put in a block. I would have just paid the money for a nicer car, but I thought Honda Civics are pretty xxxx reliable, and nice, but not from 2006-2009.

212,000 Miles and Still Going Strong
I commuted 150 miles per day since the day I took new delivery in all kinds of weather. It's been extremely reliable for 12 years and is a lot of fun to drive...great handling on dry, wet or snow covered roads. It's styling is still very current and I can still say I really like the looks of it. I needed very little to keep it in tip-top shape other that keeping-up with all factory recommended maintenance at the recommended intervals.

Loved the car but had its issues
I owned a 2008 Honda Civic coupe and loved it. Bought it new in 2008 and traded it in in 2018 with 180,000 miles. Still drove great however it had its flaws. During the course of owning it I did have some problems that Honda took care of due to recalls. My car overheated at 112,000 miles due to a cracked engine block, Honda replaced it for free. My clear coat was also coming off on the roof and hood, Honda repainted my car for free under a service bulletin and I was thankfully within the time limit before they stopped doing that for people. As far as major maintenance I’ve had to replace the engine mounts twice and the struts twice. My tires wore unevenly all the time due to camber issues which is a known flaw in this vehicle. I really really loved this car probably could have drove it for another 100,000 miles however I needed a bigger car.

Most Reliable Car I've owned
The Civic Couple never feels like your driving a compact car. The design makes if feel like a very expensive sports car. It even has more pricey options like a manual raising and lowering of the driver seat.
