Most Reliable Car I've Owned

I love the interior styling primarily because of the split dashboard design with the digital speedometer on top with fuel and MPG gauges with the tachometer below and a screen that can display range, current MPG, Music playing, service intervals and more to the right, the fact that the radio and climate controls are all facing towards the driver, etc. The car is also (for the most part) extremely easy to work on even though it almost never needs it (I've spent 500 maintaining it over 2 years and 40k miles when I started with 48k miles) the acceleration without Econ mode on is great for a compact fuel efficient car but if you're used to anything over 200 horsepower this will feel sluggish to you. The interior road noise isn't bad if you go into it reminding yourself this is an economy car and that it won't be quiet on the level of a luxury car (car was brand new about 24-25k with leather, don't expect quietness) but with the radio up it's not that noticable. If you're looking for a great car, reliable and inexpensive to buy and maintain, look no further than a 9th gen civic or any Honda!

Wonderful and Reliable Car

I have loved owning this car and am only selling it because we no longer need 2 vehicles. It has been very reliable, great on gas, and is a blast to actually drive. I would drive this vehicle across the country in a heartbeat.

Honda is normally a reliable vehicle

As an automotive technician I have always suggested Honda and Toyota because of the reliability. Mainly the elerical hold up better than domestic. I do have a 2012 civic, a little dissatisfied with a failure on the ABS control module. Not sure if they are starting to slip a bit on electronics or if I am just that lucky one. Would be nice if module was replaceable without having to purchase an entire unit.

Cant go wrong

It was time for another car back in 2015 when I got out of the service and had gotten a job that required me to commute an hour to and from work. My older 1998 Ford Escort was still running fine, but decided not to take chances with having to make sure I could get to and from work each day with no worries. It took me a few weeks of research and looking, was not sure if I wanted a prior used car or not, but after doing my research and looking at a few types of cars I settled on the 2012 Honda Civic LX. It had everything I was looking for a small common scene type of car. It was reasonable in price, great on gas mileage and very easy for upkeep. So I drove it off the lot with only 23,000 miles on it. Almost 3 yrs later and having put on 90,000 miles (yes, I drive it a lot and mostly highway) it starts up every time without hesitation. Its very smooth and quite driving car, my wife can never tell if Im in the car when she calls or not, its that quite in the cabin. The dash board over/under display makes it easy to see everything when needed and the maintenance display lets you know the oil life, when the air filters, transmission, coolant and spark plugs are recommended to be changed. Its a great little car and would recommend this car to anyone.

Great Reliable Car

The Honda Civic is a good, reliable car. It is built for speed or acceleration but it works well. The vehicle seems a little underpowered but what it lacks in power, it makes up for in mpg. Overall, a good car which will last, but not the hottest car on the block.

Not the best for families

First I want to say that I bought this car because I had to, I needed a car and I have always liked Hondas. Comfort I rated it 1 star because it is a small car, not a good option if you need to have car seats in the back, also the seats in the back are uncomfortable and TERRIBLE for long drives. Interior design I like the dashboard screens and the material used for the rest of the dashboard, the instrument panel for the stereo/CD player looks cheap and boring. I have no comments on the rest of the interior. Performance Poor performance going uphill, otherwise is ok just to drive around. Value for the money For me, it is over priced, competitors did better with 2012 models. Exterior Styling I gave it 1 star because Honda did a bad job with the 2012 Civic's design. There is really nothing that stands out. Reliability I've had the car for 6 months and I haven't had any issues other than one time not wanting to start for no obvious reason. Bottom line: I will not recommend it to a friend because of the overall design and how uncomfortable it is in the back seats. If is just for you and a passenger and you don't care about the looks (having in mind how pricey it is) then I would recommend it because of reliability.

I just purchased a used Honda Civic after having my Civic for 18 1/2 years. I have no negative comments regarding the Honda Civic and would highly recommend if you are looking for a good, reliable vehicle for yourself or new driver. Choose a Honda!!
