2012 Honda Civic consumer reviews

This car has been very good to me. I have only had to perform normal maintenance since i bought it new in 2012. This is a must buy for anyone wanting a reliable car.

We have a standard sedan. Great car. Never had a problem with it. Runs great. Plenty of room for our family of four and great trunk space

Came from a 2003 Civic and when I had it at Honda for service I saw this on the lot and decided to check it out. Talked to the salesman and made a deal about a week or 2 later. Car was reliable with only needing the usual maintenance items, brakes, battery, tires, and oil changes. Until this year (2018) when the muffler gave out and became loud. Car only had 58K miles on it. Price from Honda dealer was over $450 to replace it. I checked with another local shop and they would do it for $325. I decided instead of using the money for that (and I would need tires come spring) I would use that toward a car payment. So I started looking for a new or newer vehicle. I no longer have this vehicle but it was fun to drive and served its purpose of getitng me from point A to point B without any hassle.

I have owned two Civics when I was younger and when we had to look for a car for our teenager, I went back to what I know well. Reliability, cost of driving and maintenance costs are a bargain compared to other cars. My favorite feature of this car is the split display. Some don't like it, but I find it very easy to see the most important info (speed, Econ function, and info display screen) all close to the windshield. It's almost like having a heads-up display with large numbers and it's easy to read. Hondas are known for their reliability and this one is no different.

This car has lot of boot space which meet my needs. specially when we are going for picnic and I have to take my son bike along. Three people can easily sit comfortably at the back seat. Pick up is good.

Fun coupe. Great sound system. Plenty of space for a coupe. I have great fuel economy,maintaining the car is fairly priced and parts are always available

I had a 2002 Honda Accord EX-L that I loved but sadly it got old and had too much wrong with it. I bought the same version but of the Civic instead of the Accord. Not as much power, but I still love it.

It's perfect for me. I bought a car I knew I could count on for years to come. This is it. I trust Honda. I feel safe in this car.

I bought my 2012 Civic used with 150K miles on it. More miles than I wanted but decided to go for it because of Honda's reputation for reliability. I have owned the car for almost 3 years and am approaching 220K miles. It still runs great and I can get up to 40mpg if I drive the speed limit or even slightly over. It is a fun car to drive and handles great. I have only had regular oil changes made, and have had no mechanical issues at all. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't handle well in heavy, slushy snow. I will definately buy another Civic!
