2nd CRV

Our CRV was 12 years old and we knew we were going to get another CRV. Decided on the color and options, then found a Dealership that gave us a price and didn't play games. Honda of the Avenues in Jacksonville, Florida treated us right and we would recommend them. Love our new CRV.

Honda hits a home run!

Honda got this one right. More than adequate power with excellent fuel economy- DW averages 30-32 mpg (LX AWD) on her daily commute. Amazing room for it's size. Comfortable seats. Quiet with a well controlled but compliant ride. The base LX is nicely equipped including Bluetooth and review camera. In two and a half months and 5500+ miles the only real complaint are the sun visors - they lack the extensions that other Honda models have making early morning and late afternoon sun more of an issue than it should be.

Comfort, Reliability, Functionality, Utility Excel

I purchased a 2014 Honda CR-V from the Vatland Honda Dealership on October 30. I have owned several Honda CR-V's before this one and have always been more than happy with them but this year's model has exceeded all my expectations. The design, ease, affordability, handling and new features are exceptional. The ride is much smoother and the steering mechanism more agile. It was a pleasure dealing with Vatland Honda. They treated me with extreme courtesy and helpfulness. I felt the pricing was fair and my salesman, Jacques Pons was courteous, professional and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable with all the new features in the vehicle. I also returned to this dealership because of past experience and because of the excellent service department personnel.

new Honda owner

I purchased my first Honda (CRV) at Curtiss Ryan in Shelton. My salesperson, Terri, was excellent--best salesperson ever! I felt relaxed and comfortable dealing with her. She was informative and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. I also brought my daughter-in-law and she bought one too! The reason I have 4 stars on exterior & interior is my last SUV had a lift gate, which I miss. I also have short arms to the interior functions, such as radio, is difficult to reach while driving. They should put on/off on the steering wheel. Other than that, I love it!

Dandy Set of Wheels

Bought the car February, 2013. Now has 5K miles on it, and I do love it ... mostly. Handling and road-ability is great. Cons are few, to include a rather uncomfortable (hard) seat bottom. Remedied that with a lawn furniture cushion. Radio sensitivity (ability to pull in weak or distant signals) and selectivity (ability to select slightly drifting signals) are poor, a situation that can be easily corrected at the factory level by installing relatively inexpensive circuitry. Sun visor is insufficient to block late afternoon and early morning sun, but that may just be a Southern California related problem. Could be corrected by including a sliding extension, a feature available on my old Toyota Solara. Also a warm-weather-related feature needed is a more powerful A/C unit; even the little Solara had a better one. But all together, I?m quite pleased with the car.

First time I changed from a Dodge

This car had a rating of #1 that is all I needed to make my decision. For some time I wanted a Honda or a Toyota but didn't like the thought of buying a Japanese car. However, the only part of of the car made in Japan is the transmission. The engine is made in the USA and assembled in Canada, although some of the other Honda models are assembled in the USA. I had looked at a Jeep Compass but in the rating, it was 23 out of 23. I went for #1, the Honda CR-V and I am glad I did

Great mileage!

Drove our week-old CRV on an 800 mile trip....mostly on roads with 55 mph speed limits...and got 35.6 mpg, using the "Econ" mode the whole way! It's a great car except for the HUGE blind spot to the right rear of the vehicle. The only way to see there was to angle the right rearview mirror WAY out...so far that I couldn't see directly behind the car with it, even when leaning way over in the driver's seat. Nothing's perfect, I guess. We got our car at Wilde on the east side of Madison over the Labor Day Weekend, btw, and got a good deal. They were trying to clear out the last four 2013 CRVs on the lot that day. Finally, we put a tow bar on the car and it pulls my 500 lb boat on a 500 kb trailer nicely.
