2018 Honda CR-V consumer reviews

It’s a Honda, so very reliable. It’s good on gas mileage with around 34 mpg. However, the road noise is really loud. I feel like I’m taking off in a plane. I also think it was overpriced.

I have nothing but issues every other week I have to bring it in or call to try and get the computer system running, again. bought the cr v in december and am regretting it.

I love the side cameras for blind spots and rear camera for backing up. Rides nice - rougher than my dodge. Gas mileage is much less than advertised. Auto for heating when using auto start works but does not heat up the car and takes long time to defrost windshield. I stopped using auto heat system. I won’t use cruise control because of the distance feature - I can’t shut it off and it breaks considerably slowing down below speed limit unnecessarily. It applied breaks unnecessarily several times when person in front was making a right hand turn even as i was applying breaks and was in no danger of hitting car. I had to adjust the distance feature for that reason even though i liked it for regular driving. The lane departure feature can be annoying when you trying to get out if the way of on oncoming vehicle swerving in your lane, moving over for a pedestrian, bicyclists or parked vehicles. The interior is comfortable but not enough headroom with moonroof. Theres no up/down tuner feature on steering wheel - just your presets. Apple car play will only work if plugged in. Can’t adjust speaker settings. I actually can’t wait for my lease to end and I’ve only had it for 7 months

I’ve never owned an suv and never even driven one, so this was a learning curve! I love how it handles. Surprisingly small turning radius. Very easy to park. Nice smooth ride compared to all others that I test drove. That’s what sold me on the crv.

On 3 dif ferent occasions, while driving the car on the interstate highway, it started vibrating, and would not accelerate, burning smell occurred, several warning lights came up on the dashboard. We had to navigate the car from the middle of highway to the shoulder of the highway very abruptly. It was a near death experience as several trucks and cars were traveling on the highway at very fast speeds. Reported the first occurrence to our Honda Dealer in January 2019 along with the dashboard warning light pictures and they replaced some fuel sensors and informed me that this was a manufacturing issue (defective part). Second incident occurred in February 2019, could not take photos as the problems went away after restarting the engine. Reported the third incident in March 2019 along with the dashboard warning light pictures to the same dealership and I was informed that there is a problem with fuel injector and they placed the order for the part. We are really, really scared of driving this defective, malfunctioning and hazardous vehicle. I searched the internet last night and it seems several other Honda CRV owners are having these issues. I bought 7 Honda vehicles (Accord/Odyssey) in the past 27 years and extremely happy with other vehicles except this Honda CR-V. Please avoid buying this unsafe vehicle.

2018 Honda CRV touring touch screen randomly has flashing lights then goes to blank screen. Dealership is aware of the problem but cannot fix it

My only issue is the display system (stereo system). The display system has a software issue that causes the system to fail periodically. The Dealer knows of this issue but hasn’t been able to come up with a repair.mcnhammer

I thought this car was a good value and nice looking, but its been nothing but trouble. The warning lights are always going off for no reason. It's super annoying to deal with, and I didn't expect so many trips to the dealer the first year I owned a Honda. Won't buy another.

This car is safe, fun & very stylish to own & drive. The safety features are well ahead of our time. We recommend purchasing this car.

Comfortable, drives great, looks great and has the bet safety features! Love the cruise control! The cruise control is the best when you get stuck in early morning traffic. It makes my bumper to bumper commute easy and bearable.
