Very disappointing gas milage

Cute little hatchback, fun to drive. Had to get an automatic shift, have to carry a lot of stuff for my work, but the 20 MPG just makes my heart hurt. I almost miss my aged Corolla, and almost wish I'd spent more on a hybrid. Have had it for 600miles, so I guess I will give it a few more months. It is pretty sluggish on long climbs, but again, I know I am taxing it with all the load and the AC on in hot, humid Philly. On the good side, it jumps fast when I need to get out of a tight spot, easy to park.

I LOVE my little red Honda Fit Sport!

I've had my Sport for a week now and I just love it more everyday. I live in a big city and have to drive all the time, including a long commute to work. I am so excited to drive now. A few of my highs and (only a couple of important) lows with this car: LOWS: -Doesn't automatically lock when driving. You have to remember to manually lock it every time, then have to unlock it when you park. -Is a little slow entering the freeway, especially if there is an incline. But, with a small 4-cyl. that's to be expected. -Hard to find carpet/rubber mats that fit well into the space. Car doesn't come with any sort of carpet. I finally found black Rubbermaid mats from Target that fit perfect. I also found a great fitting trunk organizer from Target (it's Case Logic with a "cooler" in the middle.) -This will be fixed on the 2009 model, but having to remove the headrest to put down the seats is annoying. It also blocks a bit of your line of sight out the back. PROS: -The car is a headturner. I've gotten tons of great comments on it and I'm always proud to drive it. -The seat changeability is fantastic. You can really stuff so much into this little car. I especially like being able to lift up the seat bottoms of the back seat. Not many (or any?) cars have that option. -I love being able to listen to my iPod. The sound system is pretty good and easy to use. -I've been really impressed with the performance. I went from a 2.5 V6 to this and I was really surprised that the difference wasn't as drastic as I'd thought it would be. -Great range of vision out the windows. I feel like I can clearly see all around the car with minimal blind spots (the aforementioned back seat head rests). -The interior looks great for such a low price. In particular, I love the dash. It's really stylish and makes the car feel pricier. -I love this car and would recommend it to anyone!

Speedy Eye Catcher

This car is the best honda weve had yet. We bought this car new. Its SOOO much fun to drive and it has terrific handling. Acceleration is super for a small car 0-45 it ZOOMS and even from there it goes up pretty fast. Comfort is good. We got the sport version by the way in the red color and its really shiny and cool looking. Speaker system is amazing with all the features and stuff. Cargo room well i dont know where to even start on it besides its amazing with the seats folding down or the part you sit on folding up. Alloy wheels are just a little small but look nice. Can fit in the tiniest parking places. Lights are very powerful. We continue to get 33-37 miles per gallon on the highway with the sport automatic transmission. Seats are very comfy with how much they can reclince. Our whole family loves it (family of 3). We've gotten lots of complements on it. Amazing car

The Fit is Go!!

I bought my Fit Sport in April 2006, I currently have 81,000 miles on it. Yes, that's right, 81k, my dealer is even shocked. I couldn't beat all the features offered in this care compaired to a Scion XA/XB or even the Toyota Yaris. I feel this is a luxuray version of the mini cars given the features. I love this car, only wish it had more power and was a little quieter on the highway. Average 38-40 mpg with the only modification being a K&N filter. Living in the desert, paper elements would cost me me a fortune in replacements. Now with gas prices being high, I may purchase one for my wife.

Great Little Car

We've had our Fit for 11 months. It is my son's car, but I drive it occasionally. He LOVES it. We have consistently been getting 40 mpg in combined city/highway driving. It is a terrific commuter car. Terrific space inside. LOVE the way the seats go flat and how you can haul so much stuff around. Great quality. Even the back seat has space for my long legs! My wife and I would trade in our 98 Honda Accord for a Fit except for one thing. I am 6'3" tall, and there is not enough room for my legs in the drivers seat. My son is 5'11" -- and I would say that is probably the tallest comfortable position for a driver. I know the Fit is being redesigned for 09 -- hope they do something about it. Other than that, we LOVE the car.

Great Value in a small package

I bought this vehicle (Fit Sport) for the mileage. When I went for the test drive, I felt like I was in a more expensive vehicle. Although the ride cannot be confused with an Accord or Camry, the ride was a surprise, because I thought it would be rough with loud noise coming from the engine. I did not notice either on my daily commute to work (70+ miles each way). The sport gives you a upgraded sound system, a semi manual controlled by paddles on the steering wheel and bigger tires and much more. I've been getting between 32 and 37 miles to the gallon which is a lot better than my old truck which gave be 15 mpg. And fill ups cost $32-35 instead of $50-55. Overall great vehicle for the price.

So much fun

I recently moved from the country to the city and traded in my 2007 Honda Ridgeline for the little fit. I loved my truck and all that it could do, but it was too big in the city and I was getting horrible gas mileage. I thought it would be difficult to give it up, but not for the Fit. This little car has all you could want and it's so much fun to drive. To me, the seats are even more supportive than the Ridgeline's were. For a small car it has a lot of great features and I can just keep stuffing stuff in it. The engine is a bit on the underpowered side, but I don't need to race anyone and it accelerates fast enough for me to pass cars on a two lane road without too much problem. I highly recommend this little car with so much personality.

Man, I love this little car!

I can't walk away from this cute little car without turning back to look at it, and I can't look at it without smiling! I haven't been this infatuated with a car since my arrest-me-red 300 ZX! The handling in this car is superior to the Z, however. I love a car that does everything well. Great interior space, intriguing interior design, decent comfort, tons of features, NOT an econo-box in any way, great gas mileage, low price, and bullet-proof reliability. One of the things that the car gets knocked for is a very long 0 to 60 time; but in real life nobody ever has to accelerate from a standing start to highway speed in 5 seconds. I've found that, even in Drive, hitting the downshift paddle and punching the throttle launches it into a smooth highway merge. This is all you need in the real world. After driving a Ram 1500, I love being able to park in the tiniest spaces, and I'm getting about 2.5 times the gas mileage. Life is good in a Fit!

First Honda, and a Nice Choice

After driving 3 Saturns, I decided to find a car with more safety features, and I ended up with a Honda Fit Sport. Standard ABS and 6 Airbags are great selling points for this car, as well as the nifty Magic Seats. The car feels solid and drives better than your average subcompact. The Sport model is clearly the best with its standard alloy wheels, cruise control, keyless entry, and upgraded stereo. The instrument panel is top-notch. My gripes of the Fit are as follows: no dead pedal, no auto-lock feature, and I've noticed some static on local radio stations. Seats could be a bit more comfortable too, but they aren't too bad. Overall, it seems that this car will serve me better than previous cars and I would recommend this car if you are looking for a small car with plenty of usable cargo space and a high fun-to-drive factor.
