Great Little Car
Have owned car for three months. No problems at all. Like the versatility of the hatch. Glad it doesn't come in sedan form, would ruin the utility. Also economical from gas milage to tire replacement. Can pick up set of four new tires for a song. Car has plenty of pep. Handles great. Perfect car for around town. Have taken it on highway trips. No cruise control is a problem on lengthy trips. Can haul a surpsing amount of stuff.

Perfect For My Needs
I bought this base-model Fit to have a versatile vehicle to do everything from running back and forth to work, taking trips alone or with one or two others, and a range of hauling tasks. The Fit's versatility for configuring the interior space is amazing. The 5 Sp. manual transmission is smooth and easy to use. The mileage is great, and the car feels, once I'm in it, like my daughter's CRV. I love the driver position, which feels higher than it is. Other small cars give me a backache, but the Fit "sits" just right. It feels much larger inside than it looks. The Dealer-installed MusicLink system was my one error. The sound is great, but the interface to the iPod is horrible and next to worthless.

ugliest vehicle on the road
The fit is an ok vehicle for city driving but horrible for highway. It does not feel stable at highway speeds and theres not near enough power for passing on the highway. The inside is nice and the gas mileage is great but Honda leaned toward gas millage too much on this vehicle. The car feels very bumpy on most surfaces and isn't comfortable at all. And last of all this car is just plain ugly! I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone.

FIT SPORT - Super Fun & Holds A Lot
We got a Storm Silver FIT SPORT with M/T - dealer added clear hood bra and all-around window tint. HIGHS > go-kart handling, 32~36mpg, quality interior touches + materials, surprising feature list, nice stereo, cargo abilities so helpful, angle adjustable back seats LOWS > front seats lack lower back support, 5th gear ratio too low (robbing hiway gas mileage?), no dead pedal, no map lights, no glove box light, no passenger vanity mirror, arm rest not available in U.S. It's hard to imagine a more fun-to-drive entry level car. Never feels cheap, until you look for any of the items missing from the above "lows" list. A good many Honda Japan and after market parts can be added from the internet, correcting the FIT's ommissions. It appears the all-new 2009 model will correct all of these shortcomings. Wait for it if you can, but get ready for a long waiting list at your Honda dealer.

Best Price, Most Standard Features, and ROOMY!!
The Fit has the most standard features of any car out there (including power mirrors/locks/windows) at the lowest price to boot. It is a teeny little car that gets top-rated gas mileage and is a low-emmissions vehicle. It can turn on a dime. It can fit in small parking spaces and not take up much room. For its tiny size, the Fit has a tremendous amount of acceleration. It's peppy and responsive as heck. Safe too - it has standard front, side, and curtain airbags as well as antilock brakes and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) standard (TPMS is new for '08). The Fit's main draw is its "magic seats" that fold up, down, vertical, flat, and every way inbetween. Both rear seats can fold down to vastly increase the trunk space, which is a lot also because of the height of the car. It's almost like a tiny SUV. In terms of interior space, Honda has made it so that it is nearly equivalent to the Civic. Other features - I love the fact that it tells you what maintenance needs to be done and when - thus you don't have to worry about keeping track of your oil changes, etc. The digital readout gives you the "oil life" left in a percentage. Below 5% means you have to go in for a change. The seating is comfortable and dash is blue backlit. the suspension makes for a pretty smooth ride for a car this size, although I don't particularly like the OEM Dunlop (31?) tires because of their harder feel, noise, and a tiny bit of difficulty in driving a straight line (some people may not even notice this though). Now, a SPECIAL NOTE on purchasing this car: demand is high and supply is low, so don't be surprised if you have to pay sticker price or even a little over. In summary, this is an awesome, somehwat addictive little car that comes with more standard features than any in its class. It carries the Honda reliability in a rather high-tech, low-maintenance, great gas-mileage, versatile, comfortable, fun, peppy package.
