We are glad we bought this car.
My wife and I researched smaller cars for over two months, we decide to find a used Fit, we knew we wanted an 2009 because we could get cruise control. We bought our Fit used from a Toyota dealer, got a great deal and have driven all over the east coast with it. Our trip to Florida we average 42 mpg. all we did was go the speed limit. It is the roomist small car on the market, I am 6"4" and have plenty of head room. I have talked three of my friends into buying a Fit and they all love their cars. My car is manual trans, but if you live in the city I would recommend getting the automatic trans.

Great Mileage, versatile, reliable
I love my Fit. It carries all my garden stuff, dog, people and gets great mileage. I love that I can see really well, it fits on country roads, it has just the right amount of "zoom" and didn't cost a fortune. I've had Hondas since 1980 and driven them for high 100,000s. I'd like a smoother ride but blame our deteriorating roads for most of it. I'm happy that I have a vehicle that's reliable and I don't have to drive a gas guzzling monster. Please Honda, don't let it get any bigger.

Wife's Honda
I bought this car 6 weeks ago for my wife. She wanted to replace our BMW with something far more fuel efficient and reliable. So far we are averaging between 34-36 MPG in everyday driving(better than EPA estimate) and the car is good for hauling stuff. My wife loves the car and we were able to trade our 2005 BMW with 117000 miles on it needing approximately $3000 worth of service and repairs for a 2009 Honda Fit with 15900 miles straight up.

Honda Fit
I have owned two Honda Fits. These cars combine the best qualities that a small can have. The car truly "fits the need."

Great little car but Honda America made an error
Overall, I love the car. Has a lot of cargo room, decent fuel economy, overall quality so far pretty good... BUT what is built for the US market is on compared to the Jazz I have used in Asia. I am 5'10" and find the seats to be the least comfortable of anything I have driven in 30 years. WHO did they design it to fit? The Jazz in Asia has more adjustments and is comfortable. The one I bought here... I am looking to replace the seats or sell the car since it is killing my back. MANY online complaints similar to mine and Honda USA is silent. Even the Canadian and Mexican version have a better, more adjustable seat... WHY??? Road noise could be better as well... but I fixed that in a day with sound deadening material... really, I am not a picky person... just seems they went cheap were there was no need to... save a few $$$ at the expense of mediocrity

Honda Fit 2009
Great car for the dollar. I like it better then the civicand has more style then the civic. The gas miles on this car is great city and highway. I am 6'1" and wish the drivers side was a little more roomy

Best Little, Most Reliable Car I've owned!
I've owned this car for 2 years now and love it. The MPG is amazing, I average between 38-40 highway (the MPG indicator in the car over-exaggerates a bit). I have the automatic version, and every once in a while, in hilly/mountainous terrain, when the A/C is running, I think "this little car doesn't have quite the punch as other cars I've driven" but generally, for mostly flat, city driving (I bought it living in DFW) it's GREAT. And as an environmentally conscious consumer, the high MPG and low emissions are definitely a bonus for me. Haven't had any issues with it after 2 years. Definitely worth every penny!

Biggest Little Car Ever
My wife and I did a lot of research in 2009 before deciding to buy a new '09 Honda Fit. We bought the base model, manual, in black. I can honestly say that I have never once, not even for a minute, regretted the investment we made in getting this car. Listing out all of the features I love about this car would quickly turn into a novel, so I'll instead focus on the two aspects of the car that have been most helpful for me: Cargo space and fuel efficiency. We are winter sports enthusiasts, and the winter after we bought out Fit, we took approximately 25 trips up to the mountain to visit the resorts. Our car could not have preformed better. The 40mpg on the highway was a huge help to our pocketbook (the tank is approximately 10.5 gallons to fill, and we have gotten 400 miles in a tank when it was strictly highway driving), and the cargo space is spectacular! When traveling to the mountain with friends, we were able to fold down the smaller of the two seats in the back (which are split 66/34, I believe), store 4 complete sets of snowboarding equipment, and still have room for my 6'4" friend to be sleeping comfortably in the back seat behind me (I'm 6'2"). Both the fuel efficiency and cargo space have come in handy for more domestic affairs as well. I have never gotten less than 32mpg on a tank of gas, even when driving strictly in the city. I've used our Fit on a number of occasions to help friends move, once even managing to put all of a friend's belongings in the back in one load (including a tall mini-fridge, desk, two guitars and amps, 3 suitcases, 4 duffle bags, and a futon mattress). Honda even maximizes cargo space through the design of the back hatch. I've seen many other cars whose hatches either have a very long roof-to-floor slope (Mazda 3), or the door tapers to a narrow point at the bottom (Nissan Versa), both of which make getting cargo into the cargo area more difficult. The fit's hatch sits nearly vertical and stays wide at the bottom, allowing you to fit through the door almost anything that would fit in the cargo area (the one exception for me was a large papasan chair that would have fit inside, but would not fit through the door). I've found that the detail in engineering and design show through in many other ways: moving the gas tank forward to create cargo space for tall items (utilized by flipping the seats up) as well as allowing the seats to fold almost completely flat, instead of at an angle; the nesting headrests in back (on all Fit models 2009 or later; the 2007-08 models had regular headrests) mean you don't need to take the headrests out or move the front seats up before putting the back seats down; even the cup holders (in their excess) show quality design with their more squared shape, which allows them to hold containers more securely than larger round cup holders. To be fair, it's true that it's a fairly noisy car. Our previous car was a Ford Focus, and even that was quieter than the Fit. But, after driving the car for 2 years, I don't even notice it anymore. It is also very true that the suspension is pretty tight, and you will feel the bumps in the road. This, again, is something that I've grown accustomed to and don't really notice anymore. The reality of the situation is this: You're not buying a luxury car, you're buying an economy car. And if you're going to buy an economy car, BUY THE FIT! It has more cargo space, better design, and classic Honda reliability (In two years and almost 30k miles, I haven't had a single issue with the car's function). It's a hands down choice, and two years later I wouldn't hesitate to make it again.

Great Car!
I like Hatchbacks, so this car already fit my main criteria. What surpised me was the excellent gas mileage. I get an average of 35 miles to the gallon without even trying. It is very roomy despite being a small car. It is a sport version so I was fortunate to find a color that was to my liking. The sound system allows me to plug in my ipod and use the dashboard controls to select and play music. There are only two things I would change about the fit. 1. Improve the music search mechanism....takes a long time to find songs if you're looking for an artist who's name starts with Z. 2. Suspension is a bit hard...would be nicer if the bumps I encounter didn't seem so big.
